Was in town for a wedding. The rooms were clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms could use some updating BUT there was a fridge and microwave and everything else you could need. Id stay again!

We decided not to drive far into the night to get home and we were in the Adirondack Mountains so we decided to stay nearby and hopefully get in a nice walk next morning. Keeseville is very close to Ausable Falls, Alice Falls, and other walkable places. The Villa Motel is the only still open motel available and it looked just fine. It is just better than okay because the people running it are all alert, helpful, polite. There are a couple of taverns or lunch places near the motel and the food was okay. In the motel, the bed was a bit hard but okay; the shower a bit small but okay; etc. But the price is very good, making up for any shortfalls.
Though the rooms smelled musty they were clean. The beds were lumpy and old. The wifi was very weak and kept dropping out. Was fine for an overnight but would not stay for an extending time. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Stumbled on this place while traveling. A beautiful, quaint little motel, reminiscent of they way they used to be before big chains came in. Only stayed one night, but it was lovely. The owners at that time (in June) were about to sell. I only hope the new owners will maintain the quality of the place.
Very cozy and not expensive at all the owners are great John is so nice I love that near by the stores dollar general and family dollar has two restaurant near by McLean is best which is down road across from dollar general. Rooms were super clean
Traveling in upstate NY during the opening of the track season in Saratoga Springs is NOT a happy time to try to find a motel... Found a an Quality Inn in Glens Falls North that was gouging the last queen room for $249 per night...... Not even going to try this...
Moved further north to Shroom Lake and was scared to try to wake the owners to ask about rooms.
Moved on to the Villa Motel in Keeseville and found a two bedroom cabin for $70/night...
This motel has been here since before the movie Psycho came out.
It came with its own spiders. Big ones and little ones.
The rooms were large enough to fit a twin bed into and have space to slide between the bed and wall...
Noticed the "loveseat" in the living room was a 1970's Herculon jobbie in sad need of new cushions and a frame..
Was only looking for a place to sleep for the night and was able to do that.
Noticed the shower used to be a small closet somewhere before in it's life.. the floor was slippery and did I mention it was tight or that the unit came with it's own spiders?
The window AC WORKED. (all night it worked)
The room comes with a small refrigerator and once you figure out which plug it is and plug it in, it works too. (makes a bit of noise when the compressor shuts off but it works)
The employees were really nice and we did sleep... so the room served its purpose...
