this hotel, for the price - even not for the price, was an excellent place to stay. our room was very clean, everything worked, and the beds were comfy. The only problem was that the room key didn't unlock the side door, which i would rather have than a door always unlocked. we stayed here to go to watkins glen - it worked out fine.

Room Tip: our room - first floor - was great

BigJerNewYork,

Thank you for your stay and for the great comments. We do feel as though we are the best value in Ithaca. Our commitment to cleanliness and service is evident all throughout the property. Your one issue is being corrected, we have ordered all new card readers for the exterior entrance ways and we hope to have them soon. Thank you again and we look forward to your next stay.

Many hotels in Ithaca are really pricey and the Quality Inn was a pleasant surprise. It was a quick 5-min. drive from downtown, nice rooms, and provided breakfast. Breakfast didn't have a ton of options, but still great to have the option. I'd definitely stay here again as it was convenient and a good deal!

krc11,

Thank you for your review of us. Your right we feel as though we have the best value in town! We take great pride in our cleanliness and we are generally between $50-$100 cheaper than almost all the competition. As you may know Ithaca has a great many options for lodging and most options are well into the $250 to $350 price range especially on the weekends. We look forward to your next visit with us and we hope to continue to exceed your expectations.

We had such a lovely stay in Ithaca with Quality Inn. We loved the location since we had a car, we loved the town and all the nature the whole area has to offer. We liked how big and comfy the rooms were and breakfast was excellent for the price you pay.

The only downside was the staff except the manager. The staff during the later shifts did not feel welcoming and very often there was no one in the lobby. So do not expect to get a lot of help with your travels unless you talk to the manager. He was great and helped us out a lot! He is btw the only one of the staff that new that Ithaca was a big tourist attraction for wineries..... Like I wrote, almost a perfect stay!

Room Tip: I would stay on the second floor. First floor rooms sometimes have windows that turn toward the parking lot.

Sveinn H,

Thank you again for your stay with us. I enjoyed our conversations about the wineries and nature hikes the area has to offer for guest. I will look into the reasons for the absence of our front desk in the lobby and I will educate our desk in the difference of each winery and their specialty. We hope you had a safe flight home and hopefully you'll be back to see us one day.

Here's what we wanted for one night...pet friendly, clean, good location. That's what we got. Pet friendly room was located in an interior hallway, but the room had a sliding glass door that opened up to a grassy area with trash can available. Very convenient! Room was on the small side and had two double beds (a tad too dippy in the middle for my preference, but everyone has their own idea of comfort), bathroom had been updated but counter space was not abundant. No problem with wifi. Breakfast was standard Choice property fare. Thanks to house keeping for the attention to cleanliness. Thank you to front desk staff who were friendly and made check in/out a quick process. Veronica was ready with recommendations for local restaurants Location is great...near lots of strip malls, WalMart, Wegmans, 5 min from downtown Ithaca, and minutes from state parks that no one should miss when in the area (Buttermilk Falls State Park and Robert H. Treman State Park),.

Room Tip: For those that need pet friendly rooms, call hotel to make rez. They have a limited #.

We stayed for 3 nights during Cornell's graduation - a peak time for occupancy and high prices. We had found an acceptable price at a property an hour;s drive from Cornell. The day before we cound the Quality Inn with 2 rooms available (just what we needed) and willing to deal on the price. So we stayed here. This is an older property that has been renovated to a up-to-date standard. If your room is on the 2nd floor, be aware there is no elevator (at least we never found one). The free breakfast was satisfactory. The wo-fi worked. The shower was good. A soap-dish at the washbasin would have been nice (the soap kept sliding around). There was adequate, free parking.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues be sure to request a ground-floor room.

Carl021,

Thank you for your stay with us on graduation weekend. We know it is very expensive to stay during that time of year. We are glad we could help out. Our renovation was completed just last year and we couldn't be more happy with the way it turned out. We look forward to your next stay with us and happy travels.
