Dinner in a portuguese restaurant with portuguese alcohol not the stuff we were used to, but still good. Had 3 course dinner appetizers were good, entrees filling and cooked well, desserts were nice too. Staff very friendly. Small place and cozy with your next tables.

This is a lovely little restaurant with a very pretty room and another room for parties upstairs. It was restaurant week, so we were eating from a limited but varied menu. However, the food was spectacular - beautifully presented and delicious. The service was good, but the tables are very close together and the room is noisy. They didn’t take reservations and people were waiting to get in but they did not rush us and waited until we we requested the bill. For an appetizer, my husband had Scotch eggs which were very tasty meatballs stuffed with a hard boiled egg. I had a delicious salmon tartare and our friend had a yummy bisque soup. For our main courses we had salmon wrapped in cabbage leaves on a sweet and sour sauce, and our friends had a delicious pork chop and a very tasty cod dish. Desserts were also very good and we were able to choose from an apple tarts, a poached pear topped with whipped cream and granola and our friends enjoyed the cheesecake. An excellent choice for restaurant week.

My wife and I have been here several times and Fado is now one of our favorite restaurants in town! This is due primarily to their great fresh tasting food! Last night we had an early dinner and ate amazingly tasty almond sole and flounder! Both dishes equally superb- mouth watering!! Salads are also very good as is their bread, herb butter and fresh olives! They have a nice little bar- feels like you're in someone's house...keep up the good cooking Fado- we will be back!!
