While traveling up to Vermont we needed a place to stop for breakfast. After checking Google maps and our GPS we located Johnny B's Diner not too far off the highway. On the outside it looked like your typical stainless steel diner. The crowd waiting outside to get in was also a good sign. On the inside it was like taking a trip back to the 50's. Lots of cool posters, old 45rpm records and memorabilia from another time lines the walls and gives you something to look at while waiting for your food.
Because there was a wait for a table for two we opted for a couple of stools at the counter. The food was just what you'd expect from a diner. A couple of sunny side up eggs, sausage patties and rye toast. The coffee was very good and comes in a bottomless cup. The eggs were cooked just as I like em, runny and able to be soaked up with the toast. Our waitress was polite and courteous and made sure my coffee cup was always full.
Places like Johnny B's Diner are getting hard to find so when you find a place like this go and give them your business. Where else can you take a trip back in time.
