We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Stonecutters lounge. We took a drive around Seneca Lake on a recent weekend. Part of the experience we wanted was to eat lunch on the water. While not exactly on-the-water, it was excellent. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The room has a club-like feel. There are few tables, a fireplace and a sunken bar, all of which enhance the view of the lake. We arrived around noon and only a couple of tables were occupied. It quickly filled.
For lunch our choices included onion rings, the crab fondue, the capicolla panini, and the cuban sandwich. Each of us enjoyed our selection. We traded bites and were equally impressed. I liked the deep-fried pickle. The service was very good, of the three or four people they worked as a team, if food for one table that was not theirs was ready it was served without hesitation by another member.
Ten or eleven dollars for a sandwich is more than we normally spend for lunch, but everything about the meal was delicious (including the suggested wine pairing from their vineyard). Afterward we sat in the sun on the patio. This was a great way to start our circuit around the lake. I want to return.
