What a fantastic Inn, when you first come up the driveway the beauty of the main house takes your breath away! We had a wonderfully relaxing time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we would like to make it a annual trip!

Just returned from a wonderful and quiet weekend..We chose the Inn based upon Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The grounds are extensive and well cared for, our room was well appointed and tranquil. We were welcomed graciously and everything we needed was quickly and efficiently obtained.
It's the beauty of the natural setting, the ability to relax and feel removed from New York City that makes this place so special.

Lots of great rooms to choose from-and you can bring your dog..Just wish they served an evening meal-It was hard to leave.

We stayed here while house shopping on the many Sullivan County lakes. I wanted to find someplace that exuded that Adirondack Lodge style so that I could get my wife excited about driving every weekend to the Catskills, and this place exceeded all of my expectations. We stayed in the Hemlock room and it was perfect. It was a snowy night and we curled up in front of the fireplace and enjoyed our little lodge in the woods. Each of the buildings had slightly different vibes, but I really wanted that rustic cabin feel so the Hemlock's building worked perfect. There were a few other couples that were there who went snow-shoeing but we skipped out on it for house hunting. We ended up purchasing an amazing lake house about 15 miles away from the Inn, and whenever we have friends visiting for weekends we send them to the Inn at Lake Joseph. It's definitely an incredible get-away from New York City and in a special place in the undiscovered western Catskills.

It was our honeymoon! Unfortunately, we spent all our time planning the wedding and little time on the honeymoon. Based upon the website and the expensive price we thought we were going to a luxurious place. We did find the people to be pleasant, although a bit odd. The unit we stayed in was the Eagle's Nest. It has not be renovated since the 80's. The furniture was worn out, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the kitchenware was very limited, the floor creaked in the bathroom area, the television was very dated, and the unit smelled funny because of one of those plug-in air freshners. It was way too expensive for what was offered. I would not recommend this unit to anyone. The main house was clean, the food was good, but the computer did not work. The other unfortunate thing about this inn is it is in a very impoverished area of New York. Sullivan County is not a desirable place to spend any time. We did leave early, went north about 2 hours and really enjoyed the rest of our honeymoon. So, my advise is don't go to Sullivan County, drive a few more hours north and you will find many nice places to stay and lots of great things to do.

What accolades can I write that haven't already been said about
the Inn at
Lake Joseph. We had an absolutely wonderful, if not perfect
weekend
getaway. Ironically, I found the Inn at Lake Joseph by accident
while
surfing the inernet. I used to live in that area years ago and
didn't know
that the Inn existed. Truly it is a "best kept secret." Thank
you Ivan
and Ru. We'll be seeing you again soon when we'll need to get
away from the
hussle and bussle of the city.
