Stayed 2 nights at the Inn for a family reunion. It exceeded our expectations for a ski resort property and was a good value.

The inn is impeccably clean--rooms, grounds, and public spaces. While it appears to be a slightly older property, it is so well maintained. The furnishings in our room were newer. The rain shower head and curved shower curtain rod made up for the slightly smaller (older) tub; water pressure and temp were great. The double sink vanity was a plus, as was the small box-type refrigerator.

The sitting and breakfast areas in the main lodge area were attractive and welcoming.

During our visit another family reunion was on property--"Dancing Queen" was apparently the theme song--and partying well into the evening on the green area, but when one of our party called the front desk at 11 pm the music volume came way down. There were baseball teams playing at nearby Bradford, PA, but despite the large number of guests, the breakfast and housekeeping staff kept up.

Continental breakfast featured a couple of hot dishes, apples, make your own toast/bagels, muffins, juice; the ubiquitous melon medley was forgettable--but we supplemented with blueberries we picked at Burdick Blueberries in nearby Otto-- a fun outing! If you go, also visit Hog Shed Pottery nearby.

The only glitch our party experienced was that two of our rooms were not ready by 3 pm and the front desk staff seemed confused.

We enjoyed a lovely evening with drinks at the Cabana bar, served by the courteous and cheeful almost-college grad on duty behind the bar. Nice selection of brews and mixed drinks...and a killer gin and tonic. While we didn't swim, the outdoor pool at the Lodge was tempting--another time.

Holiday Valley was perfect for our event and we hope to visit again soon. Ellicottville is cute--some fun shops and eateries downtown. Plan on an iced coffee and some homemade pie at Dina's or lunch at Katy's. Our farewell dinner was Ellicottville Brewing, where the service, food, and beers (try their bluberry beer!) were just what we wanted, although iffy weather kept us inside instead of out on the patio.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms have balconies, first floor have small patios--ask for the slope view.

Thank you so much for a wonderfully written review. I will be sure to make sure that our staff has the opportunity to read it, especially our Housekeeping and Maintenance teams who work hard to take good care of our property and our guests. We are so glad you enjoyed your weekend in Ellicottville and hope your family chooses the Inn at Holiday Valley for your next family reunion.

I have mainly stayed there during the ski season. It is a ski in and ski out place, which is very convenient. Have enjoyed the rooms, with a locker outside your room to keep your skis in. Continental breakfast, with a lot of things to pick from. Indoor/Outdoor pool, outdoor jacuzzi, steam room and exercise room. I went there early Nov., when the weather was still nice. A lot of golfers staying there, with golf course right there. I was even able to use the outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Just minutes away, town is such a neat place to shop and dine.

Stayed here as we went on a small weekend trip to Allegany State Park. Room was what we expected. Clean, comfortable. Beds were fine. Shower, etc all we’re clean and appropriate. I did not like the rug in the sink area! Our son very much enjoyed the pool area and we enjoyed the hot tub. Debbie was beyond kind and caring. She went out of her way to accommodate us as we waited for a passing storm. She made us coffee, found pool toys for our son and made sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was simple and easy. Would stay again.

Rooms in out buildings have a rustic charm and are good size. Room had a mini fridge and decent WiFi. Had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. Heated outdoor pool has canal access to inside. Sauna was small. Breakfast was mediocre at best but included with room rate. Friendly efficient check in.

We stayed mid-week late March and took advantage of their lodging ski pass package. Combining two adult passes (valid from noon till 4:30 the next day) with the nights lodging was a really good value. The room itself is motel style, with doors opening to the parking lot. With the temperatures spring-like traipsing outside to breakfast, the hot tub, or even the ice machine, was less bothersome than if we stayed during colder temperatures. The room was clean and adequately furnished. Breakfast was carb heavy (waffles/cereal/bagels) with no hot egg option. In general the room would earn a 3 star, but for the low cost of the package getting it to my 4 star rating.

Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your experience with other travelers. We agree it is important that customers understand that they have direct access to their rooms and their private ski lockers from the outdoors, and that their patio and balcony doors have scenic views of Holiday Valley. Our Spring Season 2 Ski FREE promotion is relatively new and has been very well received especially with the excellent ski conditions we enjoyed this March. We hope you have the opportunity to visit us again next season. We also offer the 2 Ski Free at the start of the season through Christmas Day so perhaps you can join us then.
