We were just walking by and stopped to talk to another patron on the patio when the owner, a lovely friendly woman, brought us a couple of samples. Absolutely delicious.

Love the personal touches and the eclectic decor. Sampled some great tea and had all organic food. Can't wait to go back!

Our daughter is a knowledgeable tea lover so when we saw this shop we stopped to buy her some tea. We had especially liked the tea when we had it in a lunch place in a nearby town. It turned out to be a great find on.a par with what you would find in what folks in these parts call THE City. The proprietor was very gracious and welcoming as was her college age son. It gave us the impression that visitors from urban areas who enjoy urban amenities could find kindred spirits in a beautiful rural setting. The shop had 19 teas that the proprietor had blended herself. We especially liked two with the intriguing names

Beautiful teas, eclectic collection of furniture and jewelry and odds and ends...sometimes they have art shows- good desserts, ok sandwiches

We were driving back to Manhattan from Roxbury and stopped at Tay Tea at the recommendation of a friend. The owner, Nini, greeted us and made us feel like family. We tried several types of tea and all ended up purchasing tins of tea to bring home. They aren't cheap (as of Aug. 2014, they ran about $16 per tin), but definitely worth it. Very high quality, and great flavor profiles.

Nini showed us Tay Tea & Home's "art barn" out back. The barn is a space where they feature a local resident artist. We were able to have a chat with the artist, sipped some iced tea and hung out for about 30 minutes.

Unfortunately we didn't have time to try the food, but we've heard great things about the sandwiches.

We had a great time, and happy we took the little detour. (The rest of the town is lovely as well, great vintage clothing and antique shops.)
