With friends seeing a play at SUNY Cortland we chose this hotel because of the positive reviews and close proximity to the college. This hotel did not disappoint. The reception area was warm and inviting? Provided all the amenities you would expect from the brand. Upon entering our room I felt concerned because of the musty smell. I went to open the window and guess what? The windows didn’t open. This proved problematic due to having allergies. Inspecting the room I found it to be clean however the air conditioner was filthy. A picture paints 1000 words, please see my photos. Comfortable beds with big fluffy pillows allowed for a restful night. The bathroom amenities were Eco friendly: economy sized multi use soaps and shampoos in the shower. Towels were big and fluffy. Our room was surprisingly quiet other than the occasional slamming doors, fault of other guests. I appreciate when a hotel provides a microwave, and refrigerator; this hotel did as well as a coffee maker with all the fixings. Fairfield inn and suites Cortland provided us free parking, free high-speed Internet, pool, fitness center, small business center and 24 hour coffee and tea. The coffee ran out by 6:00 PM. The breakfast offerings were prepackaged Covid friendly and more than ample. Hand sanitizer was provided at the front desk, not near the food service area.
