We stayed over on a Saturday night at a cost of $179 dollars for the night which was too much money for what we got. Room was clean and the view of the lake from lobby and outside porch was nice. However if you are wanting that nice quiet place to enjoy nature don't go on the weekend especially if there is a wedding as there was one the night we stayed.
The reception was held under our room so the noise from the music reverberated throught the walls into our room. That was bad enought but then a fight broke out about 11:00pm in the hall outside our room between a young couple who were drunk. The cursing, screaming, banging on doors was outrageous.
On my first call to the front desk I was told the parties left the hallway and went into their roomand all was okay. That was true but it was the room next to ours! The cursing and screaming continued until I called again to the front desk and threatened to call the police at which time the manager finally must have done something because after a while things got quiet and i think the people got their bags and went home.
I guess the fight was a mixed blessing because the music stopped and I suppose the reception came to an end. Who knows how long the hotel management would have allowed the music to continue if not for the fight!
If you go to this place during the week and pay a lot less than we paid you will probably be ok as I doubt there are any weddings during the week. If you go on a weekend be prepared for anything but a quiet peaceful stay in the woods and make sure you bring your earplugs and sleeping pills!
