We picked Beacon for a fall folliage get away from New York City where we spent 3 nights. The Metro North train ride up was a great start (sit on left side of train) with the colors changing against the Hudson River. A quick 90 min. trip and you are a million miles away from NYC...recommend a taxi ride (they are waiting at the station) up to Main street and the hotel. Just $6 and up hill all the way with luggage is not good. We were welcomed and shown to our room on the 2nd floor facing main street. We took this due to needing two beds but would recommend a higher floor for better views and the 4th would be the best. There is some street (trucks and cars) noise that can be heard from the rooms at the front so rooms at the back and higher might be best for quiet. The rooms are beautiful...the owner Roger (who is around and a very good host )is the architect who clearly designed this property to high specifications and attention to detail. Colors and decor are relaxing and it is a treat to spend time at the hotel. The roof provides beautiful views. We were there midweek and no full breakfast was available but I think they serve one on the weekends. The staff were helpful in planning dinner reservations and an early check out night before. This is a perfect choice for staying in the area. The spa was a real highlight...we booked massages with Victor and Christine and both therapists were professional and provided great massages...I wish we had had more time to have more services. Recommend booking in advance of your arrival as the spa is sure to be very popular with its location in Beacon. I feel I picked the perfect spot for our fall folliage escape to the Hudson Valley and highly recommend this small hotel.

Room tip: go for top floor

My first visit to NY. We stayed for one week and wish it could have been longer. Beautifully appointed, clean and spacious. Everyone there was helpful and went beyond what we expected in terms of service and personal attention.

Just returned from lovely long weekend at the Inn and Spa in Beacon, NY. From my initial phone inquiries, arrival and departure
I have only the highest regard for everyone here. Tina and Catherine your smiles and help made it a joy to stay with you. Dolores, who goes beyond the call of duty and even gives us her parking space ! And then Chris who makes you feel like an old friend , is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!

The Inn is beautiful, comfortable and clean, which are important to me. The shower is amazing! Rooms are spacious,
hardwood floors and comfy beds!

We had most of the Inn filled with wedding
party and guests. We were well taken care of and treated warmly. I can't wait to stay again.

Thank you all for an amazing weekend I'll
never forget.

very nice plate. all brand new. roof is great for drink (they are still finishing it up).
got massages with my wife. also very nice experience. showers weren't ready in massage rooms but they let us keep our room longer than checkout to shower. that was good service and appreciated. good location right in town near tons of excellent restaurants. good hiking trail with spectacular overview nearby.
great place to enjoy a weekend visit (we came for wedding anniversary)
they offer breakfast but for an additional charge. would've been nice to just include this (and raise your room rate if needed). it's expected as part of a "inn".

3 couples stayed at the Inn from Atlantic City. We all had different type rooms. We had the king suite, no balcony but very nice. The room itself was very cozy and roomy.
There was an upper level terrace with tables and chairs where we had our nightly cocktails.
Beautiful views of the town, the Hudson and Mt. Beacon.
Roger and his staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.
The inn itself is in a great location. We walked everywhere, shops, coffee, and great restaurants.
Special thanks to Chris,
The hotel is beautiful, brand new, Roger did a great job, they do have some kinks to work out but overall a wonderful place to stay
All the Atlantic City people

Room tip: Rooms are different, our king suite had street view
