As a first of five camps, I have started with this mobile camp. Thoroughly enjoyed the private ambience. Other guests were mostly couples in their Thirties, so we have had lots about to laugh. Tents were really comfy. Heard lions roaring, great feeling. Your senses are definitely sharpened! Games Drives produced lion sightings 3 out of 4 times, so those being first time on a safari were very happy about the focus. By far the highlight and the justification for full marks was the Pangolin Photo Safari included in the booking. 3 hrs Chobe boat safari with impressive photo equipment provided. And you can keep the SIM card! Absolutely awesome!

I went with my wife and daughters aged 18 and 21. The tents are amazing considering they move the site every couple of weeks or so. Beds were very comfortable, hot bucket showers and flush toilets. Limited electric, could charge camera batteries and phones for taking photos in the safari vehicle but no sockets in tents. It was actually great to have no mobile phone coverage or wi fi for a few days. We had our own vehicle for the 4 days we stayed and saw a huge amount of wildlife. The highlight for us was the included Photo safari on the Chobe river. Skipper was an excellent host and Max the guide made the drives great fun. Dinner was cooked and announced by Prince every night and the food was 5 star quality, all fresh and hot with very hot plates.

Unlike the permanent camps elsewhere, this camp moves every 5 days so it really is camping, but with a difference! It really is a tent with canvas walls and roof but it has matting on the floor and a large double bed, a canvas wall to a bathroom with jug, basin and mirror, a bush shower over duckboards and best of all, a separate flushing loo. Light comes from solar panels powering LED lamps beside the beds, near the wash bowl and in the loo. In fact, very comfortable but with an unmistakable camping ambience I loved. A far cry from my rather uncomfortable camping experiences with blowup beds or swags. The food was amazing. I could not believe you could produce such tasty dishes in a camp oven and a wok over an open fire. Fresh bread and muffins, tarte tatin dessert, roast chicken, lots of beautifully cooked vegetables, there should have been a cooking class for real outdoor cuisine. But there wasn't. Instead we did amazing game drives with huge herds of animals to be seen, lions, honey badgers, the rare ground hornbill, far too much to itemize here. A trip on the river where we were given access and instruction on Nikkon cameras with zoom lenses allowing us to photograph up to 900 birds and animals was a highlight and 3 hours passed like 30 minutes. Elephants swimming, the malachite kingfisher, hippos yawning, crocodiles cooling down and it is all on film! An amazing experience made even better with the intelligent and informed guiding we had in this well run camp.

It was my first stop on solo trip and the first in Botswana, and definitely didn't disappoint. It was a great stay, the whole staff was welcoming and very helpful, and Chief was the best guide. I never thought the food could be as delicious as it was thinking it was a "bush kitchen" but the food was amazing!! And lots and lots of game!! I really hope to be back someday!!

We had a great time glamping in Chobe. We did not just see animals, but herds upon herds of animals. The food in the bush was very good, and the experience was unforgettable. Just be ready for (very) early wake ups. Our highlights include leopard spotting and the prearranged boat photo safari tour.
