It was my second time there. I was shown the brewery before in a nice passionate way. I bought beers now and the service was superb. The garden with tables is a lovely place to eat as well.

I was tickled by the fact that we got 8 tasters for free. Service was good and waiters knowledgeable. Pretty setting too.

Great variety of beers, made on the premises, got a few bottles to enjoy back home. Also try the coffee roasters on the premises, AWESOME COFFEE!
The Ethiopian single origin is my favourite!

Great beer, however the experience was not great. The ambiance is not that inviting. Loved the beer. Bought a few to take home however the seating and atmosfeer lacked. A pity because the place has sooo much potential. Well done for the free tasters it make the experience unique due to the fact that alot of craft brewers do not aloow this. This ensured that we did taste all the various beers/ciders on your menu.

Anvil Ale Brewery sits on the edge of Dullstroom and has lots of open space to work with which really works in its favour. Theo de Beer and his wife Sarie offer European style beers (such as the Blonde Ale, Pale Ale and a Baltic Porter), boozy cakes and lots of unusual snacks to compliment the beer offerings.

*Recommendation: If you cannot pick a beer at first, ask for their free beer 'tasting' - really worth it for those like me who are indecisive.

A definite must whilst in Dullstroom - my husband is the beer drinker - so he got to taste the samples - Free tasting, so why not whilst in the Town..

Just had an excellent experience! After the free taster tray, we settled on the Perry Cider, Bookoo- and Stout Beer, which was absolutely fabulous. Friendly service, there's a great coffee shop next door (where we picked up some first-class Ethiopian beans) and the garden is lovely. A highlight of our Dullstroom experience!
