What a surprise to find an outstanding organic grocery as we approached Taos. Since we were staying in a condo, we stopped for breakfast foods and snacks. Everything we bought was excellent in quality and taste. Be aware that the are closed on Sunday.

I got beautiful organic romaine lettuce there yesterday , and believe it or not it was less expensive than commercial lettuce. I like that they added a hot food section and have a really nice salad bar. So if you go I'm hungry, you have a better chance of getting your shopping done without over buying :-). I've tried a couple of their soups and they were good. Also I like that they have freshly made bakery items. I am gluten free, and they have wrapped gluten-free items and the fresh-baked section as well. Excellent meat and cheese selections.

Nice little organic food market in the north part of Taos. Great location for those staying in Arroyo Seco or ski valley, because you don't have to go all the way into town. Selection is a little limited but not more than expected. A little pricey.

After settling into our rental apartment, we first went to Albertson's, which was pretty depressing (only because Cid's is closed on Sundays). How delighted we were to go to Cid's on Monday! it's sort of Taos's Whole Foods, but more down to earth. Highly recommended

This is a busy grocery store with an emphasis on healthy living. They have a salad bar & hot food counter where you serve your self & pay by the pound. There is a small area with tables if you want to eat there. Very decent lunch.
