Casa Gallina is located in an undeveloped area of Taos, New Mexico. The views are fabulous. You are surrounded by mountains! From the Bantam Roost casita upper deck, you can watch sunset, sunrise, and have a fabulous view of the moon and stars at night! Very little light scatter!
And Richard Spera, our host, raises these absolutely unbelievable chickens! According to Richard "We feed the girls and the girls feed us!" We had fresh eggs every morning. AND we got to feed the girls! And the boys.
Richard placed wine, locally-made goat cheese, nuts, chocolate, and crackers on the casita table for us to find upon arrival! And brought pastries every day. Organic coffee and tea were provided as well.
Recommednations for locally -owned farm-to-table restaurants were given to us, and the food and wine were so very wonderful!
