We were very pleased with our room which was very quiet and on the top floor, as we requested. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was adequate. Nothing fancy but what you would expect at a Comfort Inn. Mid range hotels tend to be very pricey in Socorro. Probably because there are limited options between Albuquerque and Las Cruces.

After a long day on the road and unable to reach the town and hotel of choice we decided to
spend the night here as we were running out of options. We felt that this hotel was over priced for the hotel and location. We have stayed at Comfort Inns and Suites in the past and
we both were surprised by the quality of this hotel. First issue that concerned us when we asked to look at the room and found that the room that the clerk gave us a key to was occupied---whooops! Security issues perhaps? Second room to view was a handicapped room with a left over depends on the floor beside the bed, out of view when you enter the room, so apparently overlooked by the maids when cleaning the room----whooops! Third room we selected ( as we were very tired) but I noticed crumbs on kitchen counter and floor area around it. I cleaned the counter
myself and coffee table, noticed carpet had crumbs too.
Breakfast was included, but very fair to below average in quality, tables not cleaned and not that inviting. Just okay.
Front desk clerks need a refresher course, friendly at times but not overly professional as during check out there was a teenage girl sitting on floor behind counter with a less than happy look on her face. Have never seen that before.
Ice was on payment around the entire parking lot and entrance, so could be a safety issue,
especially at night.
Would I stay at this hotel again, most likey I would not, as I did not feel that it was worth the money.

Both my check-in and check-out were laborious. I'll spare you all the details, suffice to say: If you're not already in the habit of printing out a hard copy of your reservation to take along, this would be a great time to start. And don't expect a speedy check-out: if you have an appointment, allow 10 minutes at least.

The facilities were as expected: clean, good breakfast, comfortable room, but all priced about $20 higher than you'd pay for the same Comfort Inn room anywhere else in NM. I chose this motel because unlike any of the others in town, it was a decent distance off the "main drag" so it was pretty quiet. Socorro in general seems to be pricey. I was here to visit the Bosque del Apache and I decided after my visit to save money and just drive up to ABQ for the night since I was headed to the airport the next day anyway. It's only about an hour.

Driving to Santa Fe three days before Christmas, Interstate 25 was shut down due to ice and snow and Comfort Inn was the first place we found to stay. We weren't alone. A line of cars followed us on a dark and stormy Thursday night. Kim at the front desk was wonderfully accomodating, considering the unexpected surge of last-minute guests. The room was clean, comfortable, and an overall nice place to stay for a few days until the roads cleared. About a mile down the street there are restaurants, grocery stores, etc. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for saving us from a tremendous weather event, Comfort Inn.

Motel is on the far north end of town -- you get off at the north exit (Exit 150) and then it's a bit farther north still on the western frontage road. There is a K-Bob restaurant a short distance up the frontage road, and more restaurants/fast-food on the main drag.

Check-in was fast and "business-like", but it was a pretty busy time at the front desk so there wasn't a lot of time for niceties.

The room was very clean. It included fridge and microwave, and an old-style flat-screen -- smallish screen and deep cabinet. The TV remote was battered and worn. The wired internet worked well, bath amenities were fine (except for the Motel-6-looking kleenex dispenser), and the beds were soft and comfy. It was a bit strange in that there was a large gap between the beds and the nightstand -- like the room was set up for king-sized beds, but only had queens. Breakfast was good with several hot selections. My room was quiet.

Overall the place had a somewhat cheaper feel than you might expect for the price, but the pickins are slim in Socorro -- this property fills a gap between the pricier Holiday Inn Express and the rest of the herd of poor-to-fair-to-middling properties in town. In other words, you can do a lot worse in Socorro. I'd stay here again.
