We just got home from our four day stay in Motswari . The treatment we got, from when we arrived and greeted with homemade lemonade by the staff,to when we left with our guide and tracker walking us to our taxi to say goodbye, was above and beyond!! The grounds are beautiful and our room was decorated in safari theme with all the amenities of a fancy hotel room. Our guide Kevin was the BEST. His knowledge was unending and his excitement was contagious. It is so clear that he truly loves what he does and it was such a pleasure to learn and experience this amazing adventure with him and Tiani-our fearless tracker. The staff members were all so friendly and willing to do anything they could to make our stay pleasurable. They even knew us all by name.
The food was delicious and every evening meal was in a different spot - each one different and special in it's own way. My favorite was when we ate outside under the full moon - spectacular. The wine flowed freely and we were fed like kings. Our in- room massage was a special treat one afternoon and I would highly recommend it.
We had two game drives a day and were lucky enough to have sightings on every trip. We saw the big five by our third drive and were happy to check that off our list. We had two game drives a day and were lucky enough to have sightings on every trip. We saw the big five by our third drive and were happy to check that off our list. The excitement we felt when we ran into a herd of elephants on our first night driving home, in the dark, is hard to explain - it was really special. Watching a tower of giraffes enjoy their morning, a dazzle of zebra passing by and a pride of lions try for an evening kill was awe-inspiring. On our grounds we saw waterbuck, wart hogs, an elephant, and monkeys just hanging out.
It was confusing for us to pick out a place for our safari. I am so glad that we chose Motswari. I cannot not recommend them more highly!!More
