We spent four amazing days and nights in Baluleni Safari Lodge. It was absolutely outstanding experience. As profesional photographers of nature we had really busy program. Two mornings and evening game drives in private Balule Nature Reserve and 2 full days trip in Kruger National Park. Mathew, our guide,is the best nature guide we had chance to cooperate with. His knowledge about nature are really oustanding. He was talking about animals and nature with such a passion, with deep understanding about relationship and ecology of this area. Thanks to Mathew´s profesionalism and also big piece of luck we were able to see more animals that we couldn ´t even dream about. At the same time it was condense lecture of African wildlife. There are no words which can sufficiently describe this experience.
The lodge is located in the middle of African wildlife. There are lots of animal species which you may see while sitting on your terrace. As lodge is located inside the Kruger park, you cannot walk freely after sunset, but only while being with your guide. The wild animals are all around, so this precaution is important to follow. We stayed in luxury tents and fully recommend it. The beds are really big and comfortable, we all had really great sleep there. The noise of nature around is addictable. The tent is equiped with place to prepare tea and coffee and some delicious cookies, there is fridge with milk, shower and also bath tube. All nicely and decently decorated and perfectly clean. Evert and Elke made our stay very comfortable. The meal was excedent and so greatly presented. Also thanks to Baluleni lodge we fell in deep love with Africa and hope to come again. This was the best vacation ever!

Dear J, J, A and M,

First we want to thank you for choosing Baluleni as your destiny in Africa for your photographic safari, and then of course a big thank you for such a great review. We are very glad that you had an outstanding experience with the African wildlife and nature. Thank you for the kind words to Matthew, our Head Field Guide. Matthew appreciates your reference to him, he'll be ready to take you out on a photographic safari again.

We will remember the times around the fire in the boma with all of you and hope to welcome you again one day at Baluleni.

My husband and two sons had one of the best holidays. It was well worth staying for 7 nights. The atmosphere is one of joining 'the family'. Elke and Evert were perfect hosts, welcoming and very informative. Clifford was our guide for the week looking after all our needs and was very knowledgeable. He was also fun to be with. We didn't get to see any of the big cats but that is just how goes, we will have to return.
The boys went on 2 walking safaris with head guide, Matthew, which was the highlight of their holiday.
The lodge is immaculately kept and so peaceful that we were able to take time out and just sit by the pool and watch the bush and water bucks, monkeys and warthogs. We stayed in one of the spacious chalets with a very comfortable bed. At night we lay in bed and looked up to see a million stars.
There are 2 chefs that provide excellent food especially the homemade soups and delicious cakes.
We loved the dinner in the Boma, sitting round the fire with pre dinner drinks and all sitting at the same table with Elke, Evert, the guides and other guests for our meal.
We were sad to leave at the end of our week but will always have wonderful memories of our stay at Baluleni Safari Lodge.

Room Tip: Chalet with river views

Dear

What a lovely family! We had so much fun and we're so glad that you choose to visit Baluleni. We can still hear the laughter! Thanks for the kind words about Clifton and Matthew, our field guide and trails guide. They appreciate it. The chefs also appreciate your comments on their food. The cats are back and the wild dogs made a kill (impala) yesterday. The elephants were twice in the camp. We are really looking forward to welcome you again at Baluleni in the future.

Take care
From the Baluleni Team

After a seven-day self guided safari, we stayed at Baluleni so as to enjoy a relaxing time. Our expectations were more than met. Close to the Olifants River, the lodge, a fenceless property, is in harmony with nature. From our cottage (no.1), we were able to see many animals and could even hear a lion roar on the other side of the river. The cottage was comfortable, clean and functional. Also there is a beautiful pool where you can relaxe and look for games. The staff was very friendly and kind; the food was delicious. For dinner, at the boma, chef Nomsa explained the menu to the guests and invited us to taste both international and African meals. We went bushwalking with our guide Matthew, who explained the fascinating ecosystem surrounding us. To top it all off, we even saw some lions during a night game drive. One morning, at breakfast, 4 local women from the staff were kind enough to chant a prayer to wish us a safe journey home. That was the best moment of our trip.

Room Tip: Chalet no 1 ,bush walk, night game drive, good car or shuttle.

Dear Patrice and Brigitte,

It sometimes happen that we receive guests who just want to relax at the lodge, and we are happy that you enjoyed a relaxed stay. You were such wonderful guests and we enjoyed your company very much. The staff are still talking about you and we are already missing you here at Baluleni. You mentioned that the lodge is in harmony with nature, but so are the two of you, and that is also the reason why you could enjoy it so much.Thank you for your kind words in your review. We wish you a blessed year ahead and hope to meet you once again in the future.

Perfect stay for an amazing safari adventure. The owners and service were really kind. Rangers also. I recommend the 3 night package in order to enjoy the nature and animals. If you really want to enjoy the sounds of nature choose a tent!
