We went to Dulini 1 year ago on our honeymoon and I still can't say enough nice things about it. It was so lovely.(October 2010)
First, the room/house was amazing it was huge and very private except for the occasional animal roaming in the field behind! It was very comfortable and clean the shower was amazing and the bathroom was huge! The plunge pool in the back looked good but i'm a baby and it was too cold for me.
Service, was great. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Our ranger was William and Isaac was our tracker they were super cool and fun to spend our mornings and evening with or the night drinking by the fire. They really worked to make sure we saw everything that we wanted to which for me was baby animals(hence my photo on TA).
I loved the cocktails during safari and all the fun surprises like champagne under the tree, dinner in the room etc.
The food was great as well my husband and I really enjoyed it.
I loved this place so much that I talked a friend of mine out of going to Mauritius so that she could experience an &beyond safari(unfortunately dulini was booked but she stayed at another property and was blown away)
**The only thing I didn't like were some of the other guests ha. Some were great and we had fun but others were rude and obnoxious to the staff and while on safari. But there is nothing I or the property can do about that! So if you plan to be rude or obnoxious do us all a favor and don't go and put a damper on other people's good time!

We went to South Africa on safari to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed at three lodges, the last was Dulini. We saved the best until last. They only have six small stone houses at the lodge, so you are bound to be pampered - and we were. Even though the lodge is in the middle of nowhere, the food was absolutely fantastic. I don't know how they do it. The only complaint about the food is that there is too much of it. We could not possibly eat everything. The stone cottages are like having your own little house, complete with pool. The furnishing were very nice. The bathroom was gorgeous. Every day was very special and magical. We had one dinner on the terrace, one dinner in the wine room, and, on one evening another guest had a birthday, so there was quite a bash, complete with singing and dancing from the staff. It was lovely. We had a excellent game drive guide and tracker. They both had extensive knowledge of the wildlife and we saw so many beautiful animals and birds. We were never rushed when watching the wildlife. As we work with wildlife ourselves, we were put off by the emphasis on the "big five" throughout South Africa, as every single animal is interesting, and our guides were aware of our feelings, and felt the same way. This was more money than we would normally spend on a place, but we left feeling it was expensive, but worth it.

Room Tip: it would be hard to go wrong here, all rooms are great.

We just got back from an amazing time at Dulini Lodge on our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived the service exceeded our expectations, from the Welcome drinks and informational kit, stunning and cozy accommodations, excellent service, eclectic food and many little surprises. We had the fantastic team of William and Isaac (Ranger and Tracker) on our game drives. They made our first safari experience very informative and fun. We will always remember their great disposition, stories and Mocca-Rocca-Chocca's!

On our first two days we already accomplished seeing the Big 5. Will and Isaac made sure they put in all their effort into finding what we wanted to see and the two Leopard sightings were magical!!

We were thrilled with the personalized service thanks to Leisha, Gift, and Isaac and loved the fact that every lunch and dinner spot was always a surprise. There is a great balance of excitement and total relaxation during your stay here.

Thank you to the Dulini staff for making this the highlight of our honeymoon!

Room Tip: We were in Room 6 all the way at the end of the lodge. Nice, private and if you want that extra rush...

Is a very special boutique safari lodge.
Rooms & public places have a refined taste. Food is excelent. People in all services are profesional and more than friendly, trying all the time to please you and make you fill that will be a pity to leave !!
Drives are very good and you are facing all variety of animals, including the big five & many leopards....if you are very lucky also wild dogs.....I have been yet unlucky in the area for the last 2 years...they are around, but luck is important with them !!
Very good choice at Sabi Sand.
