While relocating to Florida, I had the misfortune of ALMOST staying in this dump. I say "almost" because when I complained about my sink faucet not being attached to the sink, someone else's bodily fluids being on my toilet seat, and a 3/4in gap between the door and the door frame....rather than simply apologize for the poor state of affairs and just move me, the obnoxious man (who claimed to be the gm) said "look just give me your credit card and I'll refund your money so you can just leave." The motel was by no means sold out and he could have just offered a different room. Upon checkin to this establishment, not only had this man changed my room type, when confronted he said there was no way he'd give me the type I requested for the amount I booked it for online. Despite showing him my confirmation, the man was unrelenting. This guy's whole demeanor was obnoxious, sarcastic, insulting, rude, sloppy, combative, and extremely unprofessional. When I asked if he was the manager he replied "yup! Now what?" Additionally, this man, whose "uniform" was visibly stained, smelled terrible, and looked like he'd been wearing it for a week....allowed some other peoe to set off fireworks literally right outside my window despite me telling him we had been driving for 12+ hours and that my child needed to sleep.
