We stayed at the Plaza Hotel and was happy to see that "The Range" had opened. We ate Breakfast and Lunch there, and were very happy with the food. They have a good selection, staff is friendly and service is good. We will visit again when visiting Las Vegas, NM.

Many thanks to Nicholas, Stephanie and Jorge. Super friendly. The food was awesome! We tried as many dishes as possible. All were great. The green chile was hotter than I had expected based on my travel in Mexico. The Rough Rider burger, the ribeye were great dinenrs, Breakfast was just incredible and left us full for hours. I loved the oatmeal that had cinammon ice cream!! The range fries were done to perfection. The jam and toast were excellent! We would have eaten every meal there given the chance.

Thank Bruce D

This is yet another in a series of restaurants that have been housed in the Historic Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, NM. There was The Landmark Grill, then it was know as The Gilded Age. Now it has been taken over by the same folks who run the Range Cafes in Bernallilo and Albuquerque. The sad thing is that this one does not live up to the reputation of the others. While most of the menu seems the same, a number of items are missing. And the ones that we tried here were not of the same quality as the ones we've had in the other locations. The club sandwich was just average and the meat loaf sandwich was heated inconsistently, with some portions of the meat almost room temperature and some cold. It feels as if they have branded the restaurant with the Range Cafe name, but kept the same chefs and service staff. The decor is still the same as it was, redecorated last time in a style that does not fit the period architecture of the building, and now has garish red glass chandeliers that clash with the previous redecoration.

I love the Range Cafes in Bernallilo and Albuquerque, but cannot recommend this one.

For a while, this location had an excellent chef (Chef Maury Amaro?), but it again suffers from the lack of the owners in finding good staff.
