“Great place to see ruins up close.”

This place is in need of a little updating as many of the sign are weathered and in need of replacing. On the plus side, the small museum gives you an interesting view of how the cliff dwellers and other Indians lived hundreds of years ago. Behind the museum are some actual ruins that you can see up and close. This is a great place to visit if you are headed to Mesa Verde as it provides some insight on the lives of those from years past.

So glad we stopped here. The museum is excellent and informative and we were permitted to walk around the ruins with a guide book. We had been to Mesa Verde and Chaco Canyon on this trip. This museum and ruins helped finish the puzzle!

Stopped by on the way to Farmington. A very good museum with lots of information. Outside are the ruins - you get a fact sheet to help you around the site. Worth the visit.

We stopped there with a friend after a weekend of camping. It was going from rain to snow. But that is okay because a lot of it is under cover. We love to see ruins in the Four Corners and learn about their history. This is a good one for children, it is very safe and a little different than some other ruins in the area.

Salmon Ruins Archaeology site and museum located just west of Bloomfield, NM, is worth a stop every day. Take a walk around prehistoric structures, read up on the past, peruse the gift shop and museum offerings. The staff are engaging, passionate, and informative. One of my favorite places.
