We were 3 couples for dinner. It is a nice comfortable place with welcoming wait staff. Not very busy on the evening we went. We all shared the gambas al ajillo, pretty good, but $11 for 4 shrimp? One had the soup of the day, a creamy squash soup that was reported as bland. The person with the fried chicken said his was good, two of us had scallops which were okay, although with all the bacon and cream it was hard to actually taste the scallops. Another had a fish dish which was a bit fishy, although the braised greens and beans it was served over were delicious. Finally one had the NM shepherd's pie, a deconstructed pork, green chili, queso, with mashed potatoes take on a shepherd's pie. It was very good with just the right amount of heat. Only one had dessert and it was okay. Worth the money, I'd have to say no, no hurry to go back.

Excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere and really delicious food! The surf and turf was amazing and my the duck my wife had was also superb! Great wine list as well! The service was also very good! Great attitudes and very friendly service from all the staff. We will be headed back for dinner again soon.

This place was great. Stopped by w our dogs after hiking at Williams Lake. We were welcomed in by the owner who was from NY, and sat on the patio and enjoyed our wine and cheese plate. And, the gambas, omg...so good. They checked on us, multiple times, brought the dogs water, and made sure our post hike meal was just perfect. Thanks again for a great time. Stop by for a good time, good food, and great service.

I recently took my first vacation to Taos. We stayed in the little kitschy village Arroyo Seco just north of Taos. Arrived after a long drive which set our clocks back a bit, so when we went out to grab a bite. The local restaurants were winding down so we headed to Taos. Along the drive on State Road 150 we noticed Medley. Pulling in it was apparent that they also were winding down, but the bar was open. We popped in and were delighted by the atmosphere of the bar and patio. It was well kept with semi rustic furniture, although the table settings, and the bar area told a story of consistency and cleanliness. The bar tender was easy to talk to without being overbearing. We decided to return the next day for one of our “dress up” dinners on our trip. The following night we were led to our table to find an equally pleasant contrast from the bar / patio area. Modern, well lit, and personal. The style was sturdy and comfortable. The wait staff was beyond pleasant and informative. And the food was amazing. The lamb lollypop appetizer was moist and done to our taste. Followed by the Surf and Turf, and Scallops. Each with its own flavor and again made to our taste. Later that evening we followed dinner with Scotch by the kiva fireplace and tremendous conversation with other travelers and locals. Needless to say we returned for our only other “dress up” dinner and had an equally pleasant meal. Dining on the mussels, Arctic Char and Trout. Again each made with sides that complimented the experience. And like the previous night, our time spent after dinner on the patio was only interrupted by the same courtesy wait staff who waited on us in the dining area, just checking to make sure our evening was the best. Thank Medley. You’re the best and my go to place in Taos and Arroyo Seco from now on.

Our daughter had a destination wedding in El Prado in September. So many guests traveled from all over and we wanted to include them in the rehearsal dinner. We worked with Molly for a few months regarding menu and decor and ended up renting out the entire restaurant for the evening. The three course meal - appetizers, choice of 3 entrees and dessert and coffee - was delicious and served with impeccable care. The food was fresh, prepared beautifully and the kitchen and waitstaff were all a delight! The restaurant decor and atmosphere were enchanting. The night was magical and I applaud the entire staff at Medley, especially Molly, for making the evening seem effortless! Thank you!! Do try their salmon and panna cotta!!
