Very good food in an unassuming location. Not fancy but authentic local Mexican food. Great shrimp enchiladas. Very good portions. Beer selection could use some improvement.

The vegetarian tacos are devine!!!! Get both the peppers & onions and zucchini with it. Comes with tomatilla sauce and all so yummy! The tacos have the awesome authentic fried soft corn tortillas. Hubby had the fajitas and they were perfect. Add a little salsa for perfection! Wish iui could go back every week. Not crowded and has dining alfresco with a comfortable wind blocking adobe wall. Very private for us. Convenient to the Taos Pueblo and Rio Gorge. Lots of parking in private lot. Delicious beans.

I had an early dinner of a full order of pastor enchiladas. There were only two medium sized with a dollop of sour cream with non-descript rice and beans on the side. I asked for Rojo sauce and it tasted as if it came from a can. There was a generous serving of pork inside the tortillas but it wasn't marinated or spiced -- just small squares of pork made on a grill. I'd go back for the convenience and good service but the food wasn't what it could be with a little more effort on the part of the kitchen staff. My simple meal that included a medium soft drink came to a little over $17.00 with the tip. You order your food at the counter and a waiter brings it to your table.

We stayed in Taos for 3 days, and this place worked very well for us for getting a good quick bite at lunch. We actually ate there every day. We shared one dish of fajitas which was more than enough for 2 people - filling and tasty, and just sufficient but not too much. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have good lunch but does not want to spend a lot of time in a restaurant.

One of two locations, this one in El Prado which is past the turn-off for the Pueblo. Not fancy, but authentic dishes at reasonable prices. Extensive menu and family friendly.
