Our room did have wi-fi. The on-site staff did all they could to fix the situation but the problem was out of their hands. This Quality Inn, and probably many other motels, was using substandard internet service or software support. Not the fault of the on-site personnel who were excellent, but instead the responsibility of upper management at corporate who should give their line workers better support.

This hotel is not fancy but it has some nice touches. We had a first floor interior dog friendly room. There was no additional charge for our dog. Just outside the door was a very large, irrigated grass area and dog waste station. There was also a pool and a covered picnic area. Near the entry of the hotel was a car windshield cleaning station like you would see at a gas station. I thought that was a good idea.

The lobby appeared recently renovated. Both desk clerks were efficient and helpful. Breakfast was explained as grab and go and that it would need to be microwaved. It consisted of two Jimmy Dean muffins with cheese and egg or cheese, egg and sausage. You also received a frozen danish and bottle of juice. It was certainly much more substantial than other grab and go I’ve received.

Room was fine. There was some wear around the bathroom but it was all clean. The frig and microwave worked fine. A good solid choice for an overnight stay.

Room tip: An interior room was helpful when traveling with a pet. However you did have further to walk with your luggage.

We had to stop for the night and figured we would give it a chance due to the reviews and price ($113.25 for 3 adults and a 1 yr old) as I am also a rewards member. Their customer service is good and even allowed me to see the room before committing (as long as you leave your ID or CC at the front desk). It looked clean, especially the restroom. We decided to stay. Upon closer examination I saw there were animal hairs on the bedskirt. This is a pet friendly hotel so if you have allergies don't stay here. There was a funky smell coming out of the AC unit so we had to vent the room fo about 20 mins. Front desk stated it was due to the chemicals they use to clean. The bedding besides the bedskirt was clean. The other discomfort was that the carpet (although vacuumed) is dirty. My baby had black feet right after taking a shower and walking around for a little bit. Defeats the purpose of taking a shower but I washed his feet and made sure he had shoes on any time he got off the bed. Fortunately, we had flip flops to use while in the room. It was a busy night but it was a safe environment, no complaints there. There is a safety concern with a plywood board covering a rather big hole next to the pool. It also is creating mosquitos as I killed two I the room and woke up with a bite because we vented the room with the door being open. Breakfast is a brown bag with mini Jimmy dean biscuits sandwiches to heat up in your room, choice of drink (orange juice, apply juice, milk, coffee , etc..) fruit. It was enough to get you started. We enjoyed it. I noticed that the sink is angled down away from the mirror and wonder if that has anything to do with the smell of the carpet as it will leak water onto the carpet if any water spills on the counter. I did leave a review with the hotel as they emailed me and the hotel manager was sympathetic and understanding and even stated he would let the owner know. Sometimes it takes the customer to say something for the owners to do something about issues. I really hope they replace the carpet and limit the number of pet friendly rooms as I would be willing to give them another chance.

Our expectations were definitely exceeded at this property - the beds were VERY comfortable and the shower was GREAT. Large fluffy towels! Our room with 2 queen beds was quite crowded. There is a large grassy area surrounding the pool with small seating areas scattered in and among the trees. Lots of birds and even a bunny made this a delightful spot.

Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions, the breakfast was a Grab & Go Frozen breakfast with a Jimmy Dean Sausage / Egg / Cheese Muffin (not bad), an egg taco (who has heard of such a thing?) and a small pastry. The breakfast was barely passable but the coffee was good and they provided a choice of juice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room tip: Ask for a room facing the interior courtyard / pool

As far as Quality Inns go, this one is a 5. But of course, compared to say, a Marriott, I’m giving it a 4. The water in the sink drained a little slow but everything else was very nice: the rug, the garden tub and shower, sheets and matress comfort. Also, we faced the green space that was full of trees and birds. Nice, one-night stay.
