We stayed here for a night and it turned out to be much better than I expected after some other reviews I read. Our room was a corner room and was spacious and spotlessly clean with all the amenities including a TV. Our room had a balcony that overlooked fields and it was amazing to wake up to it in the morning with the sun streaming in. Although the older parts of the resort looked a bit run down on the exterior, the room was very good.
The staff was very friendly. If at all i have a criticism, it's the food. The food was bland and boring.
We wish we had stayed there another night (not least because Punakha has the best Dzong and is a warmer place) but our itinerary could not be changed.

we stayed here for one night. it's a basic two star hotel with a decent bed, hot shower, very clean and with good views. staff were all friendly and helpful. they give you a packet of shampoo and a piece of soap so if you are the type who needs proper shampoo and bath foam, bring your own. free wifi in the main building. had a nice time sipping hot tea in the pavilion with great views.

Stayed one night in November. Room was very clean but very sparse and dated. Stained brown carpet, brown duvet cover and a desk with no chair. The bathroom was very clean but again looks like it was designed in the 70's. The bathroom floor has a green astroturf mat and the walk in shower had a blue astroturf mat and the shower has hot water but the shower sprayed everything else except he person standing in the shower!
The hotel is very noisey and you can hear the people in the next room.
Food ok, but not great. But hey, it was only for one night - Thank God!

The room we had was brand new, but looked to be designed in 1960. Rooms were clean and spacious and had a nice view. However, the facitlies would not be considered luxurious. Staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant food was less than perfect. It may be a good hotel for some, but we were not one of them.

This hotel is near Dochula Pass, a tourist spot at over 10,000 feet. It is roughly in the middle between Thimphu and Phunaka. High in the mountains with grear views in the morning and evening. Service is generally good Bhutanese style. Rooms are a bit outdated however OK for 1 night's stay. Bonus free WIFI with OK speed (as at Oct 2011)
