We stayed at Desamuda the last week of March 2012 , it was Paradise , cant fault the Villas with their private pools or Location and the staff .... how sweet it is !
Danu and the others on reception , thanks guys n girls you were always there to lend a helping hand 24/7 when we asked for directions to go to the best shops, markets or tourist attractions , money exchangers or arranging the courtesy bus to take us.
Karmon and his staff in the Rice Table Resturant , thanks mate healthy brekky to start another long day , or evening meal :)
Loved the 18 small dishes of local foods for Dinner around the pool under the stars .
Always felt so safe and there is definatley no road noise at all , the Villa is set back of the road with security around to welcome us back in the evening .
Overall this was a super friendly holiday from Ida Bagus the Sales Manager , Reception , Resturant , to the guys in the garden, with a friendly smile and a warm hello , cant ask for any more and they made an effort to communicate and understand us as we tried to understand their language , bit of tit for tat with laughter and patience .

After reading tripadvisor reviews, we booked 2 villas for 4 nights with 6 adults and a baby-- ranging in age from 1.5 to 86! For us, the best part of the villa was the location and the warm, friendly service staff. There's a line of shops, restaurants and boutique spas within walking distance. The villa was a little on the old side but it was well maintained. The drivers recommended by the villa drove safely and were very considerate with the baby and my grandmother. Breakfast was quite generic but adequate-- you can have your choice of eggs prepared for you-- apart from that its salads, cereal and cooked food. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and good value for money, though it lacks a "wow" factor and I might be tempted to try another place next time I am in Bali.

Room Tip: We had two villas, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor. If stairs are not an issue...

Stayed for 1 week in deluxe pool villa. Fantastic villa with everything u need. Very private. All staff very lovely and accommodating. Had in room massage that was lovely and would recommend. The only thing I would say is the breakfast was pretty basic....but hey it's only breakfast and at least there wouldn't have been waste. Circle K accross the road and buzz cafe about a two minute walk down the road serves fantastic coffee. Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 weeks. Staff are fantastic, we were upgraded to a Deluxe Pool Villa as building was going on and it was a bit noisy where we had first been placed. The original room (with pool) was an older building but very clean and maintained well. The Deluxe Villa was heaven, we loved the outlook and for the first time while in Bali (and we've been many times), we really hung out a lot at our room enjoying the facilities. Breakfast was fab with a great range of food and anything you wanted that wasn't there, they would whip up for you. We had Rijsttafel (tasting plate of all mains available) at "The Rice Table" restaurant at Desamuda. Just yummy AND we had two indo dancers in front of the table. It was exquisite and very romantic set out by the main pool!
We cannot say enough about the staff. It is very sad that one of the reviews had such a bad experience there as it really is a great place. Perfect for families with small children as it is very protected. Quite a way from the beach, but in a great part of Seminyak. We walked to Legian every second day and often wandered into Kuta as well. Free shuttle service is available daily for those less inclined or able to walk. We used this often also for long trips.

Our daughter is to be married in July, we have booked the Villa again for a 5 week stay!
Love it, love it.

Room Tip: The 2 and 3 bedroom villas are awesome value with your own pool. The deluxe pool villas are wonderf...
