Nice restaurant, in the lovely winery grounds - great views, nice winery art, tortoises roaming around
Food was good but service a little patchy in places - I e fillet steak was perfectly cooked, really really good. But plates were cleared from some people after finishing their mains while other people at the table were still eating.
Springbok carpaccio was memorable too.

We popped into Diemersfontien while on a wine tasting outing in Paarl and were pleasantly surprised by the service, the quality of the wines and the wonderful food. I had prawns and the friends had burgers and we were all more than happy with the presentation, the quantity and the quality of our meals. This was our forth visit and we have never been disappointed.

We spent an afternoon at Diemersfontein sampling their wines, scouting around the grounds and also had a bite to eat. It was all quite enjoyable especially the curry and the lovely wine. The flagship Pinotage is indeed a memorable wine :-) The estate is worth a visit and can lead to an afternoon to evening excursion for the whole family. :-)

Well advertised, difficult to find on outskirts of Wellington. Great, well- priced wines, mediocre, to poor food. Salmon fishcakes were maybe 4 cm across, 1 cm thick, soggy. About 2 gram of soggy lettuce and tomato.
We complained, no response from waitress. Asked to see chef... We think it came from a frozen bag. He didn't come. Asked about their pork neck....out of stock for 2 days.
Main courses were average but very small.... chicken curry, no chutney, weird, mackerel, ok, even with lentils, stuffed chicken breast, reminiscent of 1970's....boring!
We came for the wine admittedly and lunch out but the latter so poor, would we visit just for wine...No
Service too was poor from the lady..We wanted to see chef, after the starter, he did come. Expensive compared to quality.
For some reason I did pay in full and give a tip... I must have been mad... I blame the wine.
A disappointing visit not to be repeated. When we got home an hour later wife and daughter both had a sandwich.

This restaurant both the decor and quality of food does not match their standard of wine.
We visited as a group and the overall opinion was a little disapointing.
The restaurant decor is very dated and needs an upgrade.
The food was average.
The wines we had in the tasting room was fantastic.
