Our 3rd visit to Sedgies on the water and once again just as perfect as the first time! The views on your first entering the wonderful spacious, accommodation just take your breath away! It must surely be one of the most restful home from home places to stay!
Gail is such a lovely, friendly and genuine host! Both Gail and Dudley, if you need any advice are only too happy to help!
A truly wonderful place, we would not wish to stay anywhere else when visiting this area of this beautiful country, and it is the perfect place to visit the amazing surrounding areas!

We stayed at Sedgies on the water for 16 nights and had a wonderful time. The view from the deck is just incredible and the picture windows in two of the master bedrooms meant we woke up to this every morning. The location is fantastic for anyone wanting to explore the garden route with many things to do in the area - for all ages. Dudley and Gail were excellent hosts and Dudley was a mine of helpful information.
Friendly, familier, tranquil, food for thought, a family vibe with a peaceful sense of familiarity.
We travel often as a family - and all over the world. Sedgies felt like a home away from home.
From the first minute we entered the home, our breaths were taken away with the beautiful, emmediate views of the Sedgefield lagoon, ocean and the mountains.
Our hosts, Gail and Dudley Powers were a perfect fit! They were there when needed.. and nothing was to much to ask.
The facilities are well kept with beautiful waterfront rooms. We enjoyed going to bed with our doors open, falling asleep to the sound of the incoming tide and to be woken up by the song of birds early in the morning.
Dudley was on call to support when we wanted to explore the lagoon, collect some oysters, cycle on the beach, or just catch up on the general history of Sedgefield. The personal engagement and care taken with our stay made the two weeks an unforgettable, relaxed and memorable experience.
We will miss watching the lovely sunrises and sunsets from the balcony; the swims in the lagoon; the long strokes on the beach and those "shooting the breeze" chats with Dudes.
To summarise: friendly, familier, tranquil, food for thought, a family vibe with a peaceful sense of familiarity.
WE WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR.
