My wife and I made a dinner reservation one day ahead after having turned up without reservation. This restaurant offers fantastic postcard views of sunset and vineyards.
We were warmly greeted on arrival.
The staff were very organised and presentable. There was a solo acoustic guitarist who entertained guests but could have been better dressed. Towards the end of the evening, about 10 members of staff (including kitchen ) rendered a song which was truly appreciated by guests.
For starters we had snails and a dozen fresh oysters. The snails were plumb and tenderly delicious. The oysters were the best that we had in SA.
For mains, we had the ostrich fillet and springbok steak. Both meats were perfectly cooked and delicious. For dessert we enjoyed the poached pear with ice cream.
We had a bottle of merlot from the vineyard to complement our dinner. Prices are reasonable.
This was our best dinner in SA during our 2 weeks vacation. Highly recommended.
