“Great place to make your vacation a success”

First of all read this review knowing that it will be based on actual facts and not based on my personal preference like others saying that they a bad experience because they were probably acting like A-hole and they don't like to be reminded.
The reason why i rated this motel 5 star is that I based my judgement on the quality of motels available. Traveller's must understand that 99% of motels will offer the same type of rooms. Doesn't matter if you pay $300 per night for beach front view in nice hotel you will still get the same type of room. By that i mean a room that looks like ones you would get at a Knights INN motels. The room will look like it is the 60's or 70's, don't expect a new hype type of look in Wildwood motels apart of a having LCD's.
Now if you choose to stay in Wildwood in a motel and that now you know that all the rooms will look the same. You should look for the one that will make your stay the best it can be.

New owners starting this year.

Old owners were very helpfull in finding us a room since we didn't reserve any room anywhere in advance. Unfortunately we could only stayed 2 nights since everything was booked. For those 2 nights they gave a us a bigger room since it was the only thing left but at the price of regular room.(Right there, its fun to see that even though money is important they can accommodate people).
The rooms were pretty clean even thought like mentionned you aint staying at M Hotels, Fairmonts or other 5 stars hotel like stated earlier, therefore you are not going to have brand new bed frame and new furniture.

The site have BBQ's, pools, complimentary coffee(this every other motel have been had it, seems its a big thing in Wilwood to give coffee:) ) and its 1 minute of walk of the boardwalk (Just a bit South of convention center.South end of the boardwalk).

The pool is good size and the temperature was good. ( the pool is heated if it gets too cold).

The site is really clean and they have enough parking for everyone(at least when i was there)

The new owners seems nice and they seems like they want to continue the same type of quality service offered by the previous owners. (Reason why the previous owners were there this summer to help them start in the good direction.)

This motel is not a party motel therefore if you want a party motel go somewhere else but if you want a nice little quiet motel on evenings than you will probably be happy with your choice. Doens't mean you can't have fun. Wildwood is about fun not just bothering other people close to where they sleep.

Its my first time at le Voyageur and maybe my 12th time in Wildwood. I normally don't book hotels since i like to "wing it" once i arrive somewhere. But i will definetely book this motel from now because I find that for what Wildwoods has to offer for accommodation this place is an excellent choice. And my girlfriend decided that we would always go there..lol :)

Motel: clean, 1 minute to beach
Pool: clean, good size, heated if needed
Parking: enough
Room: older furniture, clean, LCD's, AC (think all motel have AC. hope so)
Bathroom: Clean, no hair or dirty towell.
Bed: comfortable(motel standart 6/10), no bed bug, clean.

Now we did stayed 4 night in Wildwoods the other 2 nights were at another motel which made Le Voyageur looks even better. Need to write on that.

If you want a nice clean place with good owners and don't want any hassle its the place.

Enjoy your vacations.

Only about 20 rooms and the decor is very dated. Owner sold in March 2012, and new owners are managing the property. However I had a somewhat difficult time explaining they had various violations to our basic rights by calling us and telling us to turn down the bedroom tv that they newly attached to a wall, right next to the only loud, older air conditioner for the whole unit. They called on two nights after midnight because they just installed flat screen tv's on the wall, which meant the new surround sound was now going to the neighbor's bedroom and we were told to turn down the tv or turn it off. We turned off the tv.
I've been traveling for years and never was told to turn down the tv. Now the new owner understands that he made a mistake attaching the new flatscreen to the wall closest to the neighboring bedroom's wall.
I always took pride in being quiet and never causing a disturbance.
However the tv had to compete with the only old, noisey air conditioner for this 2 bedroom unit.
I told the new owner's son who spoke better English than his parents that he must post that the tv must be lowered after 11:00 pm if that is what they wish to impose.
I also told him that he made a mistake putting the tv on the wall in the back bedroom which is right next to the only loud air conditioner in the two bedroom unit.
The front bedroom has no air conditioner only a ceiling fan.
If you wish to close the door of the back bedroom which has a double bed and a single bed plus the refrigerator in it, then you close off the air conditioning to the front room which has another double bed in it, plus the microwave the table & 2 chairs and another tv are in the front room. So the refrigerator is separated from the microwave; and the front room is separated from any air conditioning.

There are problems at this hotel and I don't believe the new management understands our basic rights for calling us after midnight when all we have on is CNN news and the old noisey air conditioner.
The managers need to learn to respect all customers; plus they need to post what they consider acceptable for their tv versus air conditioner right next to it, and when the customers must turn off the tv because others sleep at midnight.
When you leave the boardwalk in Wildwood, it's usual to catch up on the news of the day; but not in this hotel.

There is very little room after you carry your own bags to the 2nd or 3rd floor and have to walk in front of other people sitting outside of their room, day after day, night after night.

You have to walk 2 blocks to the beach, climb steps to go up to the boardwalk carrying all of your beach items, and down the other side with all of your beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and towels. Not convenient at all for my husband and I.

If you violate my rights to privacy and enjoyment of my room, then you need to learn that Trip Advisor works so we can warn others!

Check out time is 10:00 am. They called us at 10:03 am to see if we were completely out of the room. We were down to checking the room to see if anything was left behind. The night before, they called us at 12:30 right after midnight making us think it was an emergency and interrupting our relaxation. We thought there was an emergency at home.
Nope they wanted us to turn down the tv again!
So when I turned in the keys, I told them they must post on the room and the website they they have limits as to when the tv is allowed because the walls are think or made of wood in that section of the hotel.

I told him we were listening to the Wisconsin shooting at the Sikh temple investigating by the FBI and the death of Philadelphia's Eagle Coach Andy Reid's son. I had hoped the new owners from India would understand the Sikh temple problems.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel, possibly at the beginning of Wildwood Crest. They have noisey older airconditi...

We apologize for any inconvenience this couple had to deal with during their stay with us. Over the course of many years the staff of Le Voyageur Motel has been serving their guests proudly, as we continue to do since the beginning of this season. This "mom & pop" style motel has been a "home away from home" for many, many families for almost 3 decades and we hope to continue that tradition. All of our 2-room units have the a/c unit on the back wall of the back room and a ceiling fan in the front room. We haven't had a complaint about the location of the flat screen tv's because of the distance to the a/c unit before. Four of our units are built on a wooden deck above the office and manager's quarters and occasionally the sound of the tv may disturb a room next door or room below and if necessary we will bring it to the guest's attention.
We hope this response is helpful and we look forward to serving our guests in the future.

Le Voyageur Motel is a good deal. It is not luxury but it is clean, has a nice pool and the staff is excellent. A great feature is the complementary shower/restroom facility that guests can use on check in day if you are early or on check out day after your check out time. My only complaint is the music/radio that starts from about 9:15 to 9:30 in the morning and for the rest of the day. It is loud. All of the rooms face the pool and the music. Obviously you are there to go the beach and not sleep all day but you have no choice to sleep later then 9:15. The music is your alarm clock. Bring your earplugs if you want to sleep in.

Our first stay at Le Voyageur and we will be back. Very clean, quiet, family friendly, great location close to the beach/boardwalk. We loved the pool. Having a separate bedroom at the back of the unit was great for the kids bedtime. Only drawback - air conditioning unit and the refrigerator were both in the back bedroom. Would probably opt for the efficiency next time but very pleased with this motel and highly recommend it to others.Even though it was sold earlier this year, the prior owner still works at the front desk and none of the amenities we read about on trip advisor offered by the prior owners have changed.

Room Tip: Room type "B" was very nice but for an extra $10/night, go with room type "C", t...

The motel is only 2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk. The rooms and pool are very clean. The rates are reasonable and the staff is very helpful. Would definitely recommend.
