This was a nice, attractive, and clean hotel. Check in took a long time due to a guest with complicated requests. The desk clerk not overly friendly.
The hotel was easily accessed from main highways. A little tricky getting into parking area at first.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bar/restaurant was inviting and a fun spot to relax. The bartender was pleasant and very accommodating. We will stay here again.

Two times now I have stayed at this location and found the management unaccomodating.
A case in point::: They gave me NO discount at sign in and then when informed the next morning
that I had AAA, they refused to apply the discount. P... POOR

Dear Al; We appreciate that you chose to return for another stay at our hotel, thank you. I am sorry for your frustration with regards to the rate, but please know that discounts cannot be applied upon arrival as more often than not, the rate could already be discounted or based on availability not be accepted. This is the case for many hotels, not just ours or our Management and certainly apologize if this is how it felt. When making your reservation in advance, either online or over the phone, either select or let the reservation/hotel know know you have AAA and this will let you know if discounts are being accepted for dates booked and applied at that time. Again, we are sorry this wasn't available upon arrival.

An awesome hotel for the price. Besides a jacuzzi in my room, I couldn't have asked for more. Very clean and comfortable. Nice size compact refrigerator, a microwave and coffee pot, spacious balcony, fairly good breakfast (although fruit & yogurt would be nice), happening bar with live music, a pool, a lovely quaint little lobby area that was decorated holiday & season appropriate, free wifi, and a business center. I would stay here and recommend other to do so time after time!!!

I am very happy that the Howard Johnson's provided a clean & large enough wheelchair accessible bathroom for me. The coffee counter & devices were all low enough for me also. There is a nice little bar called Christopher's Pub conveniently located there & also a restaurant.
