Took a drive to the shore over the Thanksgiving weekend for a walk on the beach and late lunch, early dinner. Not many places were open. We decided on the Shrimp Box because we used to take my husband's grandmother there. I had not been in over ten years, but the food is very reliable and you get a lot for your money. Included is a choice of soup or salad, main entree, and a choice of dessert. My son and I had a cup of New England clam chowder and it was delicious. My daughter made her salad at the salad bar. (They also have a square bar to eat or drink at.) Two of us ordered baked salmon dishes and one had fried clams. The choices are pretty extensive. For dessert there were choices of pies, puddings, chocolate cake, ice cream. I had an imported beer and the bill came to less than $20 a piece for a three course dinner. You cannot beat that value. It was getting crowded as we left, so I suggest going in late afternoon. You may feel like you are going out to dinner too early, like the Seinfeld parents did, but it's worth getting a pick of the booths at the window, to enjoy the view of fishing boats on the water and sunset on the inlet.
