This was our second year back, and we plan on making this an annual tradition. Nice cabins with an easy walk (depending on where you stay) to a lovely swimming lake with beach. Perfect for kids to play in. There’s even a little dog friendly beach where dogs can play and swim. There are two swimming pools which are perfectly nice, but nothing fancy. It is an 8 to 15 minute drive to the Jersey shore. If you rent a cabin, you’ll want to be sure to bring extra toilet paper and paper towels and plenty of your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Once you run out of the small amount of these things that they provide, you need to buy them on your own at the expensive camp store or at one of the nearby Acme grocery stores.

Cabin wasn’t cleaned. Screen door hung upside down. Shelf on fridge door broken. Picked up lots of glass on beach. Found girls’ panties, pair of shorts, earbud case, & box cutter in bunk bedroom! OMG!

First impression was that the staff is super friendly and accommodating. The woman who I spoke with to book was really nice and helpful. They let us rent from Monday to Friday which I don't believe they normally do. They had two cottages available and the staff member recommended the cottage nearer the playground which ended up being a great decision. There was only one designated parking spot for our cottage, which was a bit of a bummer but staff told us it was OK to park across the street and it worked out fine. The lake and pools were clean. The pool bathroom was clean. They have a little air compressor near the pool to blow up bike tires and floats for the lake. They provide nice chairs on the decks of the cottages, and everything we needed in the kitchen. The AC seemed off on the second-to-last day and someone came out quickly to fix it.

One complaint - the cottage wasn't very clean when we arrived. Guests are supposed to sweep before they leave and the floors were fine, but there was sand on each bed including the bunks, and even inside the drawers in the room with the queen bed. The floor of the shower wasn't very clean and there were food remnants stuck to one of the chairs. Towels were crisp and clean and the water was completely normal and didn't run out of hot water in 10 minutes, which is a HUGE plus for us because we have stayed places nearby where the water smelled odd and went cold almost right away.

Just a heads up to anyone who hasn't been here before - you have to pay for WIFI. It was $5 a day. I feel like that should be included but not a deal breaker for me.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and I hope to give the place another try soon.
