A few blocks from the beach. Wawa,Cvs, and Acme all less than one block away. Boardwalk is a short 7 minute drive away. Playground is one block away. Many restaurants within walking distance or a very short drive away.

We stayed for 2 nights the week after Labor day, and I think the prices at that time were pretty reasonable (got a multi night rate of about $72 per night). I like the location away from the bustle of the boardwalk and just a short walk to a good beach. The room was clean and comfortable. The last time I stayed at this hotel was probably close to 30 years ago, and the room's now been remodeled to have a full kitchen. The trade off is a very small bathroom and a microscopic closet, much of which was taken up with an electric heater stored in a box. We arrived relatively late in the evening, but after calling ahead the desk clerk was prepared to wait after the end of her shift if needed. Our only complaint was that the front desk employees all seemed to smoke, so the area near the lobby was pretty smoky. The night clerk smoked outdoors, but the day clerk seemed to smoke in the back room behind the front desk, which made the lobby smell pretty bad. It didn't affect our room however, and I'd probably stay there again.

It was the worse experience we had the room carpet was filthy walked barefoot one time n underneath my feet were black there was an awful smell in the room complained n they did nothing about it ruined our vacation n it was not cheap to stay there never again.... also no one ever told us it was a condo now n not owned by The Crossings anymore it was noisy the pool full of kids after dark n it was screaming n a a lot of noise not what people want on a vacation..... what a waste of $500.00 dollars you only get taken once.... needless to say never ever again left with a bad taste in our mouth because of being ignored when we complained.....

Quiet! Family-oriented. Room was clean but a little cramped for myself and 2 teenagers. Still, it was fine. My one complaint was the maid didn't sweep unless you mentioned it to the front desk and rooms could use a little upgrading which is why no 5 rating. Never made it to the pool after the beach. Not enough time since we spent little time in the room. Reasonable bike rental 100 yards away, Acme and WaWa literally right around the corner.

Room Tip: Best if you get a poolside room, not the Acme side. Even still it's not like you're there for the stunning views of a beach front.

If condos in OCNJ are booked or it's just the two of you going, The Crossings is okay. Price was so-so, certainly not "cheap." It's not upscale, but if you plan to just be in the room to sleep, it's fine. It's only about a four minute walk to the beach and tennis courts, 3 minute walk to Randazzo's and the Sweet Spot, one minute walk to Wawa, etc.
