“Wonderful hotel stay with kids. Will come again!”

Coco Key Water Resort
Reviewed 11 October 2011

This hotel was the perfect choice for our long weekend family getaway. It is perfectly situated for day trips. It is a 20 minute drive to downtown Philadelphia, The PA Zoo, The Camden Aquarium and the Please Touch Museum. It is a 5 min drive to the Discovery museum for kids (mini please touch museum). There are plenty of good restaurants on the strip if you do not feel like eating at the hotel restaurant.

The water park is great for kids 7 and up. Our daughter liked it (she is almost 4), but there was little to do for our just 2 year old son. My husband loved it. LOL. There are some great slides. We think a 7 year old and older will have an absolute blast here. Our kids were just a little too young. We will be back for the water park when they are a little older. The water park is clean and very safe because of the many well trained life guards.

The hotel is simply wonderful. It has just been remodeled on the inside and turned over management a few months ago. I met with the general manager and he is simply the best. He loves his job and it shows. He runs this hotel with great pride. The staff was nice and very quick to respond to our every need. They placed a fridge and microwave in our room per our request which worked out great with kids.

Check in was a breeze and so was check out. The beds are a dream with soft duvets and very soft sheets. The room decor is lovely, modern and cozy and the rooms are very clean!!!

We will for sure visit this hotel again and recommend it to everybody.

This park is beautiful and affordable for parents with young children under the ages of 8 or 9. The park caters to young children and preschoolers. The park only offers one slide for older children, a lazy river that goes around in a small circle. Older children are bored within one hour or less. Save the money and take older kids to Great Wolf Lodge. GWL is more expensive however when the money is paid your children will enjoy the park. This park is a terrible waste of money for older children. Management is unresponsive to any compliants in regards to how the park is advertised for older children. A waste of $100 plus for a family of four. FYI the chlorine is pretty bad however its needed with so many young children.

Spent two days at the water-park with kids aged 5 and 8. Had a very nice time. The park is smaller and there are a lot of staff members so you feel OK with the kids running off to play. It's more of a park for younger kids. There are three larger water-slides which are fun, but mostly the park caters to a younger crowd.

We had a nice time and the staff was pleasant.

The line for lazy river was unorganized and no staff really knew what was going on. Not a big deal. The food was of very poor quality. I was really disappointed with the burgers and chicken nuggets we bought. My kids are far from spoiled, but they didn't finish. The fries were terrible too. The food was very expensive too.

We had a nice time. Just be sure to bring your own food.

Rooms were clean, Park was nice and clean, lots of lifeguards, We went with 3 family, 6 kids in total from 4 to 9 years old. The kids had a ball. The lifeguards were very friendly and attentive . I didn't expect much after reading all the negative reviews, the hotel doesn't look like much from the outside and yes it is in need of refurbishment but for the price it was fine.

place was filled w/ rude guests. only one elevator for the whole building. I came w/ my 3 kids and we were waiting in line to get into the elevator when a young girl just cut the line in front of us. the water park was so crowded, dark and disorganized. there were guests in front of us fighting over i don't know what. it's so scary because they were really shouting and i thought they were going to get physical w/ each other so i tried to move my kids back.so frustrating that we just went to the nearest mall and had our dinner. the next day we just had breakfast and left the place... never again, waste of effort, time and money. go to great wolf lodge, you'll never regret it.
