Having lived five years in San Antonio, we had lots of BBQ in lots of restaurants and I can definitely state that the folks at More Than Q know how to smoke meat Texas style. This is the real deal located on a side street in the small town of Lambertville. There are many very good restaurants in Lambertville, but this one needs to the top of your bucket list if BBQ fits the bill for you!

The brisket was fork tender with a perfect smoke ring around it and filled with authentic flavor. We tried both types of slaw (traditional and vinegar) and both were very, very good. The pickled salad they served with the brisket was excellent. We did not try the chicken or pulled pork on this visit because to us, San Antonio BBQ is all about the brisket. However, others were eating the pork and chicken and there was nothing left on their plates when they finished. We will definitely try them on a return visit.

Maybe the best endorsement of More Than Q is that a competing restaurateur (I won't say which restaurant) got a huge takeout order, presumably for his staff, while we were there. When your competitors buy from you, you're doing something right.

The dining area is small and the store can be hard to find. On Bridge Street in Lambertville while facing the river, turn left at the Bank of America and go down a few storefronts. If you hit a pizza place, you've gone too far.

Lambertville is a great restaurant town and More Than Q is a great option. Give it a try!

Loved this place when they were at Stockton Market and were eager to check out the new digs in L'ville. They've upped the ante here, for sure. In addition to the usual menu, there are ribs (outstanding!), a chopped kale salad, and fried pickles (very good). There may be one or two other additions. We were there about 5 pm and there was only one person ahead of us in line to order (no table service), but it still took a while to get our order in. The staff needs to step it up to get the food out faster. Way slower than at Stockton. Also, the tasso gravy for the grits was overly spiced with chili powder, so much so that we would not get it again and it was a favorite from the Stockton days. Anyway, the decor is awesome, the meat terrific, especially the ribs and brisket, and we will be coming back again and again.

Restaurant is open on Thursday. Our lunch turned into our main meal of the day. Fabulous BBQ. Great were the brisket, burnt end beans, grits, fried pickles and corn bread.

Went with high hopes...turned out to be quasi fast food with barbecue sauce. Paper plates, small portions, and not cheap. Disappointing. Was hoping for something more substantial.

Tasty Barbeque Food - good for a quick sandwich or take out.

We went for dinner and took a bottle of wine. Food was delicious, including the pulled pork and roasted turkey. Cornbread was fresh and coleslaw just made and very good. You can see the kitchen and food being prepared which is great. Everything is new and clean and blues music is played in the background. Some customers kept raving about the mac and cheese, but we did not have room to try.
We will be going back for take out or a lunch. There are some kinks to be worked out but understandable as they have just recently opened. For example, no ice on premises to chill drinks. If you enjoy good barbeque food, try it here, you will like it!
