My wife has fond memories from many years ago, so we dropped in to try it again. (first time for me)
We opted for an outdoor table, as it was too cold inside. The first table they led us to had food on the deck under my chair and the table. I asked for a different table, and suggested they clean up the food on the deck.
The newer table was better, no food on chairs, table or deck. Whew!
We each ordered a glass of wine. The white wine was good, but the red was not the proper temperature. My understanding of proper would be 60-68 degrees, but this red was closer to ambient temperature, maybe 75-80. The wine was good, the temp was wrong. At least 2 bottles of my red were overly warm, which leads me to believe they don't properly manage their red collection. It was a hot day outside, which could have had an influence? But the fact that their reds are not kept in a proper controlled environment is cause for concern.
OK, on to the meal! My wife had the seafood risotto dish, and I had the veal. Both were very good, but the asparagus was not properly prepared. The key to good asparagus is to peel the stringy outer layer from the lower part of each sprig. That had not been done. No one wants to get asparagus that is still stringy, and having to spit it out.
Overall, I feel like they just don't have attention to detail.
I had a stomach upset when we got home, and wife was nauseous the next morning. We can't say it was definitively the food, but it left us suspicious.
Would I return? No, for the money, I expect better.
