My husband and I enjoyed the Theatre for a comedy night. I had wished that the BYOB allowance were more well-known as all advertising indicates NO alcohol or food. We are from out of town and would have felt better prepared if we knew we could actually bring in wine and beer. Snacks are sold a the concession stand which is a huge bonus. Very cool theatre!

Awesomely restored old theater with all of the modern creature comforts any attendee would want. Awesome events, friendly staff and great food/drink. Located in the heart of downtown Hopewell with many great restaurants to choose from.

Hopewell Theater is a unique venue. Its amazing historical and architectural value is very special. We had never had the opportunity to watch a film in a small, welcoming cinema with tables where you could eat. We did so in the intermission. I would, however, encourage the management to lower the prices in their food stand.

We have seen 2 films this summer at the Hopewell Theater, and both were superb. Baraka, long clips, no dialogue, shot in 70 mm --- is an unforgettable look at life on earth, the good, the bad and the ugly --- issued in the '80s to great acclaim, but rarely shown. This week we saw "A Tuba to Cuba," also a real find 80 minutes of full of Preservation Hall Jazz awesomenessand Cuban musical exuberance.
