We had the great opportunity to go see one of our very favorite performers last week at the Hopewell Theatre in Hopewell, NJ. As soon as we saw Tom Rush was performing, we snagged the tickets and blocked off the date. What a marvelous little facility only an hour from our home.
Tom Rush was magnificent, as he was in the late 60s when we first saw him. But the true surprise and delight was the theatre. The acoustics were fantastic, and there is not a bad seat in the house. We opted for not having dinner there but it looked as though the folks who did thoroughly enjoyed it. The prices for drinks and snacks were reasonable.
We are on the mailing list now and will get out there to the Hopewell Theatre again and again.

A really great place to see an intimate show... in this case , 4 people...
Every seat is pretty close to the stage...
The sound system was great...
Parking is an issue, but a minor one because the venue is small so there wasn't a traffic problem.

This was our first time visiting the Hopewell Theatre. Small, intimate place to view a performance (Tom Rush); comfortable cushioned seating, plenty of legroom; acoustics were very good. Overall, a very nice experience. One note, when ordering tix, the seating options were not clear. Now that I've seen the layout, I understand. Maybe more photos with explanations.

I bought two sets of tickets, one for a comedy show, one for Carbon Leaf. Both were gifts for my adult children. The Carbon Leaf concert was very good, the comedy show was cancelled on May 31st on three hours notice. The young lady who called said I would be contacted when the show was rescheduled, but that there are no refunds. I would have to use what I paid as a credit to another show. I have emailed HT directly since I haven't heard back from them in weeks, but got no response. Makes me hesitant to purchase tickets again, though it's a great venue and an asset to Hopewell Boro. They need better customer service and refund policies. It's not the customer's fault that the show cancelled.

Lisa, thank you for your feedback. We are so very sorry for your experience and have taken steps to correct box office communication procedures so that we avoid this inconvenience in future.
We informed our patrons as soon as we were notified by the artist slated to perform on May 31 that he was unable to perform. We are very sorry that you did not receive notice we sent via a subsequent email on May 31 we would not be rescheduling and notifying patrons of the refund we issued that day.
We strive to give all our patrons a positive and entertaining experience, and we would love for the opportunity to give us another chance. We have reached out privately via email.
