Our family has been visiting Annata for over seven years. We frequent this gem of a restaurant not only for the consistently high quality of the food, but for the creativity of the kitchen. Yes, there is a constant menu, tried and true dishes that have been so popular they do not leave the menu. But, there is also a menu that changes so frequently, depending on the chef, the season, the availability of local items, that it begs the customers to return just to see what they will be offered. And the staff has always been more than accommodating-- cheerful, efficient, skilled. Need a high quality restaurant while in Hammonton or just passing through this agricultural area of South Jersey? Don't pass up the opportunity to stop by. And, the wine bar is family owned and operated-- no chain-restaurant mentality at all.

First visit to Annata yet it won't be our last. We arrived at 6:30pm and it was slow but within 45 minutes the restaurant got reasonably busy for a Friday night. Our server, Dawn, was excellent. She described the food, the wine and the portions--all very clearly. Her wine recommendations were exactly what we needed for the evening. Only minor negative was that the entrees came out quicker than we expected. On our next visit we'll be clear when we're ready and I feel that request won't be a problem. The crab cakes were amazing--highly recommend. Cost for the 2 of us (2 appetizers, 2 full entrees, 2 bottles of wine and 1 dessert) was $200 without tip. Overall, a wonderful evening for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Had dinner at The Annata Wine Bar last night. It was the second visit to this fantastic Hammonton Hideaway. Service great, food, great, prices reasonable, great bar, and beautiful ambiance. A sophisticated and delightful restaurant in a place you might not expect to find such a jewel. Don't hesitate to try it, you won't be disappointed and last night (Friday) they offered a great band and dancing to boot. The crowd is a range of all ages so Annata's is the place for both young and old alike. 5 Stars!

On a dreary Sunday afternoon in March, we decided to try some place different and drove to Hammonton and Annata Wine Bar for an early dinner. We did not have reservations. The restaurant definitely began to fill our during our dinner.

We chose a table by the front window so that there would be more light. Particularly that day, the inside was dark. We had nice cushiony seats at our table. We ordered a nice bottle of Washington State chardonnay that was fairly priced for a restaurant situation. (It was a little less than three times its retail price at Total Wine Super Store.) There were also some nice looking cocktails being served to other diners.

The hot bread with the seasoned dipping sauce was definitely worth the carbs and the calories. Our server did a good job of explaining portion sizes, and we ordered accordingly, going with the large for the fish dishes and small for the lollipop lamb chops. She gave us ounce sizes for the fish dishes.

We shared all our dishes. We started with the ahi tuna salad, and that was our favorite dish overall. The warm arugala salad under the tuna was absolutely delicious, as was the tuna itself. The portion size for the large was generous. The lollipop lamb chops were nice, although they could have been a bit less done to be medium as ordered. Mashed potatoes were ok. The sea bass came in a delicious red sauce. We thought the sea bass itself was a bit tough and would not order it again..

Overall, we had a nice dining experience. Service was fine. Our meal was a little bit pricey, but fine for a splurge night. There are other items in the menu we want to try, and of course we want to get the tuna again, so we will be back.

Great location, friendly staff, good food. Although it says tapas, the portions are generous.Good location if going to the Eagle Theater. It is a charming place, great wine list, very good food. Seating is comfortable, but chairs are low - ask for a cushion, if you need to, or sit in the booths. Will definately go back!
