Went here on the recommendation of the front desk and was not disappointed. The place was busy, it was Friday. We managed to snag two chairs at the bar while the bar then filled up as well. The bar tenders were great - the busser was chewing gum as he delivered food which was a bit of a let down. Food was excellent and plenty of it - we had the octopus and then pork and steak - the smell was awesome in the there and the meat did not disappoint. Bread basket was delicious and mains come with salad and chips and rice. Worth a visit - valet parking is free and round the back.

The menu and the food here are great. Lots of unusual options. Great seafood. Portuguese dishes too. Service, not up to par. First to the Food. The waiter drops off a family-style salad, which is unbelievably delicious. But since it was our first time at this restaurant, I would’ve loved to have known and to have been given the option of dressing on the side and no onions. One of the specialties of the house is hot stone meal. You cook your own meat or seafood at table side—right at your seat. It really is an adventure and a lot of fun for the whole table. It’s like being in charge of your own destiny, because you only have yourself to blame if your tuna is undercooked and your filet too well done! You must keep after your waiter if you want him to be attentive. We went at 4 PM, so it wasn’t crowded yet, but still felt that service was slow and we were not treated special. You would think since this restaurant is so close to the airport, that they would understand the importance of efficiency. Not so much. But I did enjoy the food.

Nothing like when you are told that the clamps are fresh and they come to the table almost rotten. I used to come here for 20 years and now I have a complaint about 4 out of the seven meals that arrived at our table.

We visited on a Saturday evening for dinner and the place was pretty packed but we had reservations. Overall the service was good, the food was great, and all at a reasonable price.
I had for app the flaming chorizo and as an entrée the steak on a stone, both which were really good.
They have parking which is good because parking seemed to be scarce in the area.Would definitely return.

This was our first visit to Valenca.

We arrived a little early, and had drinks at the bar. The service was good, and drinks were well made.

When our table was ready, our waiter was helpful and friendly. More drinks and appetizers were ordered, and were excellent. The only minus so far was that the noise level continuously rose all night.

When our entrees came out, all our fish items were overdone, and had LOTS of bones. The one person who ordered a meat item, lamb chops, said his was excellent.

The restaurant agreed to take a fish item off the bill, which I appreciate.

If the evening had ended at appetizers, I would have given them a 5. But it didn’t.
