Great place! We opted to stay at the Sandpiper over its sister property because we felt like we would have more room for a week over a regular hotel room. We were still able to use amenities at Congress Hall but besides the bar at their pool we didn't feel the need. We did frequent another sister property several times, The Rusty Nail. It was 1 block over, had good food and great music. We stayed in a 2bedroom/1bath/ocv which cost a bit more but I think we saved costs with food. The place was spacious enough plus the balconcy gave us added space with a beautiful view. The rooms were very clean plus we had maid service 2x a day. The kitchen was equiped enough to get you by with making breakfast and some lunches. Coffee pot and coffee is supplied but make sure you bring your own coffee. The washer/dryer in room was very convenient. My husbands favorite part was the complimentary chair/umbrella/towel service at the beach. It did making going to the beach nice and easy. The hotel staff was always very friendly and helpful and informative. The location is great. We were close enough to walk or ride bikes to everything except Cape May Point. On our last day we were able to load car, go to the beach and than use hotel to shower. The bathrooms were very clean. We will definately go back next year and plan a longer trip with some friends.

Room Tip: The 2nd floor ocv was perfect. Not sure you get an ocean view on 1st floor. I did check out a regu...

This is our second time at this property. Our first was a 3rd floor town view 4 years ago and this time we had a 3rd floor ocean view and it was great. The price per night is expensive, but if you have a large family with older kids it works. Our unit had two bedrooms, two baths with a large family – kitchen area. The room cleaning staff is the best I have seen, with two times a day service and turn down after 5 pm; the place is cleaner than clean. If you eat one or two meals in the room it makes up for the pricey per night cost in the summer. We have stayed at all the properties with the Cape Resort Group and are never disappointed; they do go out of their way to separate themselves from the rest of the accommodations in Cape May and for spending the last 20 years in Cape May, we have tried a few. When not on the beach with their one of a kind beach service or by the pool, we tend to spend hours at Congress Hall on the great lawn and just walking around. Parking is good – not great and you do have to get you luggage up to your room yourself, but there is always staff around if you need a hand with anything.
Jut a tip: When booking your room try to have a date well in advance, rooms can be open one day and not available the next then I think they open up the pricey rooms first to book them out before the town views. All in all, if you have a town view or ocean view, you will get what you pay for at this resort and will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Check the internet then call, some rooms on the internet are not available. Stay 3rd floor if you c...

We stayed at the Sandpiper with our toddler, and it was perfect. The location is on the main street that runs along the beach, and close to lots of restaurants and bars. The condos are clean and updated, and relatively toddler safe, they clean twice a day, have a pool (not heated), nice gym, and designated off street parking. The cons are minor, but the blinds only slightly mute the morning light, so the bedroom is bright, the AC unit is in the bedroom closet and pretty loud, no dining table or chairs (just bar stools). Our room was on the 2nd floor, and the deck had 2 rocking chairs and looked at the ocean (we could barely hear it though due to the Koi pond directly below our deck). We will be staying there again and strongly recommend it!

Room Tip: 3rd floor would be best for views and lack of overhead guests noise and street and koi pond noise.

Stayed here last June, forgot to leave my review.......Great location, great place, and very clean..Its like having your own little condo on the beach....... A little pricey, but worth it if you need a suite area or have kids......Within walking distance to the mall etc, and close to the beautiful Congress Hall..Having the brand new kitchen area was great!....Everything was clean, etc...My only issue was that even though it's over the water you really are looking out on the pool, and the balcony is so small you can barely get on the rocker and rock it......I think they should leave the balcony empty..... It may not all be like that on all rooms, but ours was on the first floor...I still think its better location then the Star Inn, and probably larger from what I've seen....Also,the beach is not crowded at all, very nice..

Room Tip: sorry no restaurant, pressed the terrible button by mistake...
