“No exaggeration---a great place to stay!”
Reviewed 22 April 2012

This was our first trip to Cape May. It's all true: there's plenty of parking (which is at a premium in "downtown" Cape May), the rooms really are like they asppear on the website, the breakfasts are delicious and beautifully served (the following day's breakfast menu is thoughtfully posted on an erasable board on the table in the front entry area), the rooms are spotless and full service is provided daily, there are plenty of bicycles available from the owners at no extra charge (with a mounted basket plus helmet and combination-type bike lock)....well, you get the idea. It's simply one of the finest B&B experiences of the many B&Bs that we have enjoyed over the years. Jim is very helpful in describing the fare at many local restaurants, and can also help in making reservations. Yet I never felt he was "pushing" one restaurant over another. And Lenanne baked a fresh different coffee cake for each of the breakfast during our three-night stay, as well as fresh-baked cookies for refreshments from 4-5:30 every afternoon. With the wonderful sangria and other snack goodies, as well as conversations with some of the other guests, we found the snack time to be a wonderful highlight of our stay. And the location is so convenient! OK, enough! It will sound like I'm related to the owners (we had never met before this trip)!

Room Tip: We stayed in Vesta's Room (#7). It has a queen bed, but it is a little small. Also, the shower...

Our small family was very comfortably accommodated in the third floor Tower Suite. The rooms were large and super clean, with every amenity one could wish for - from the plush robes to the games in the dresser drawer. The heated bathroom floor was another much-appreciated luxury, as was the comfortable king-sized bed. Jim and Lenanne create a very friendly atmosphere for their guests to relax in, and are a great resource for information on all things local, be it sightseeing or birding or dining out. The breakfasts are delicious, as are the afternoon cookies that stay out all night. It was also great to be able to use the bicycles to tour about the lovely old streets of Cape May and for trips into Cape May Point to climb the lighthouse and look for birds. We hope to return soon!

We stayed 4 nights at Jim and Lenanne B&B on the Easter week-end. They were once again very welcoming. We were in The Tower room and we appreciated the space of that room. Everything was great about Albert Stevens: the location, the tranquillity, the beach nearby, the recommandations for restaurants by Jim, Lenanne's breakfasts, the afternoon wine and cheese and we can go on and on! We choosed to stay there again because of all thoses reasons and we were very satisfied and hopefully we will go back very soon!

We just returned from an early season stay at the Albert Stevens Inn, and once again we were highly satisfied. Jim and Lenanne have a commitment to quality at their inn, and the results are first rate. We stayed in "The Study", which is right off of the dining room, and found it to be quite convienent, comfortable, and quiet. The room was large and clean, and the bathroom was spacious with a heated floor, which was nice on the chilly mornings we had this week. We took advantage Jim's extensive knowledge of the area regarding restaurants and attractions, and found that his advice was spot on. Lenanne's breakfasts were excellent, as were the cookies and lemonade in the afternoon. We also took advantage of the great coffee selection available before our VERY early birding walks. We look forward to another stay very soon.

Room Tip: The Study has easy first flloor access, an updated bathroom with heated floor and lighted make-up mi...
