Four of us had dinner on May 29 to celebrate our anniversary. We have been here before and we are never disappointed. The service is excellent, the bartender is talented (great Manhattans), and the chef always delivers a great meal. The scallops were delicious and my wife loved her duck dish, which was a special that night. Our friends were not disappointed either. Dessert was very good as well. This is always a great place. It is pricey, but the food is worth every cent!

Our group of 8 served by Debbie on Wednesday June 10th could not have been happier! This restaurant is a true delight! We requested an assortment of appetizers chosen by the chef. Each one was superb! All entre items selected from the extensive menu were Awesome! We could not fail to compare the NY strip my husband ordered to one we had recently enjoyed in a "Top Notch" steakhouse in Las Vegas and found it lacking in NO regard! They are an Italian Restaurant but they KNOW steak!! The same joy could be used to describe the Italian entrees, it is just that the steak was such a surprise. Treat yourself - go here!

We had the pleasure of eating here late on a Sunday night for our anniversary and enjoyed their Sunday Family Dinner Menu. Our server Briana was first rate, she was professional, attentive, personable and very knowledgeable of the menu and the specials. The food was the star though and it was amazing. Being that it was their Sunday family style menu , the food was for two and the portions were huge. We took a little of everything we had home to enjoy again.
We had 3 appetizers, the lobster bisque, which was very good, the dry aged beef meatballs on fried eggplant rounds which were unique and delicous with the beef melt in your mouth tender; but, our favorite appetizer were the italian egg rolls, they were lightly fried, not greasy or over done and were still delicate, the blend of flavors of sausage, brocolli rabe and provolone cheese meshed so well. The mixed green salad was a very generous size, beautifully prepared with fresh cantaloupe and blueberries added and so delicious with a honey balsamic vinaigrette we had served on the side. Our entree of the perchitelle(bucatini) carbonara was excellent. The presentation was delightful with an egg yolk in the center of the dish that was gently mixed tableside into the warm pasta. The sauce was rich, creamy and flavorful, we relished every taste and stopped after a few bites and said " Oh my God how good".
Our complements to the chef and staff, please don't change a thing. We will definitely be back again to try their regular menu. It is so nice to find a great restaurant that rivals NY or Phil without the drive.

We meet friends here--about to halfway for each of us. Though not our first visit, this meal stands out! Everything was excellent...even the crusty bread and olives. We started with oysters (Purple Mountain). The entree was one of the specials--scallops on butternut squash ravioli. Impressive presentation and absolutely delicious.

When you think of Bordentown, you think Farnsworth Ave being the quintessential small town main street with quaint local restaurants and a local touch. And that is all true, but Toscano's Ristorante delivers a menu and quality of food equal to or better than many steakhouse restaurants in Philadelphia or even New York. The 28 day in house dry aged steak can stand up to anyone. Their method of serving on a 500 degree hot plate is not a cheap gimmick it allows you to get the steak just the way you want it. But while the steak is great, the seafood is good too...our party dined on the salmon which was perfectly prepared as was the Ahi sushi grade tuna. The appetizers were very well done, whether the smartly presented Cesar salad, my heirloom tomato stack with eggplant , prosciutto, mozzarella with aged balsamic was delicious or the meatball with green salad where the meatball was perfectly seared and full of flavor. The portion sizes are big so you better come hungry. So what is the down side. Well it is not the biggest place so tables are close and it can be a bit noisy... The service was good, definitely not rushed but still attentive. This is a place that is worth another trip if only to try out some of the other choices on the menu. -- P.S. they wine list while not extensive is still up to the task offering a nice variety and relatively reasonable prices. Speaking of prices, it is not any means inexpensive, but if I were to compare to the a city steakhouse, it is reasonable for the quantity and quality of what you get.
