The beach here is pretty nice with soft sand. The water is a mix of shallow and and deeper areas. The channel is super busy with boats, and it's fun to sit and watch them pass by. There's picnic tables and grills so you can make a full day of it if you want.

Beautiful and not crowded at all. People are very friendly and polite. We would go again for sure. Night time was perfect for us.

Non-existent bike lanes and no room on the road sides for cyclists left us somewhat disappointed. We visited the North Conway area earlier this year and had some great rides in a bike-friendly community. We thought the same might be true in the Laconia area. Unfortunately our bikes stayed on the rack except for one harrowing early morning ride. Otherwise, it appears to be a quaint tourist town.

Weirs beach is still a pretty beach with a nice boardwalk - but everything around it has closed up or burned down. Not much to see. The restaurant on the end of the pier, which could have been a gold mine is now a self serve restaurants with picnic tables - we turned around and walked out. There is a skanky arcade with a couple people in it. Very disappointed.
