“Outstanding Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2012

The Inn at Valley Farms was outstanding. It is in a gorgeous location with stunning views and quiet, tranquil place to stay. The breakfast alone was incredible. I couldn't have wished for more. The food was all local and delicious. The location was perfect, next to an orchard, near Keene and Mt Manadnock. We visited for a wedding but would love to go back for another quiet weekend away. The Inn was spotless, in beautiful condition, any thing we needed was taken care of without hesitation or question. 5 stars for this phenomenal B&B!

We arrived on a Monday after having a hectic weekend of relatives. Our room, the Garden Room, had wonderful views of the farm and the orchard across the road. It was very relaxing to walk the grounds, view the gardens, sit in the lawn chairs, hear the chickens, and take in the beautiful view of rolling green countryside. Jackie is the innkeeper and serves a delicious breakfast made with fresh ingredients from the farm and is very hospitable. I learned so much from her about the chickens and livestock on the farm. Walpole is a beautiful town and Jackie will tell you what not to miss. There are various comfortable common rooms with many books to sit and read to plan your day in the area. We enjoyed our stay here immensely.

Room Tip: The Garden Room looked over their garden and the farm from one side and the orchard across the road...

The place is relaxing and comfortable. The value was terrific and the place could n9ot have been cleaner. The Inn Keeper was most pleasant and took care of our every need. The country breakfast basket waiting at our door in the morning was delightful. I hope to stay here again soon.

This place is perfect. This was our fourth visit to the Inn, but our first staying in Bellows Cottage instead of the Inn. My husband and I planned this visit to coincide with a surprise birthday party for his mother's 70th birthday, so we brought along our, son, daughter, son-in-law, and grand daughter. The cottage was just perfect for such an occasion, even coming equipped with a pack-n-play, stair gate and booster seat for our 18 month grand daughter. Jackie suggested dinner recommendations for the surprise dinner for my mother-in-law was perfect. Staying with Jackie is like staying with a family friend. We definitely will be again with the family.

We absolutely love the Inn at Valley Farms. It is, in a word, beautiful. Nestled among bucolic farms in a storybook-charming countryside, it's just a few minutes from the center of charming Walpole (with great restaurants, shops & galleries. The town is also home to Ken Burns - we spent a lot of time wandering around the town green, wondering which antique colonial house was his.). The rooms are cozy and well decorated, with views of the farm.
But the real jewel of our stay was the innkeeper, Jackie. She's friendly, helpful, and probably a better cook than Martha Stewart. Eating our delicious three course breakfasts in the dining room, laughing with Jackie and the other guests, we felt like we were with old friends.
Make sure to make time to explore the farm, especially the trail leading through the woods. (If you stay in winter, borrow some sleds and take your kids sledding on the hills behind the barn)
We couldn't have been happier during our time at the Inn - this is a place we will treasure & return to for years to come.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rose Room, which was spacious enough to fit easily a second roll-in bed for our dau...
