The food, the service and the rustic atmosphere are all wonderful. Just celebrated my parents 40th anniversary there and had a wonderful time.

This was a last minute trip to Pittsburgh to ride an ATV; we were hot, dusty and tired when we got back so this meal really hit the spot! All the meals were very good as was the service and atmosphere. As a side note, we stayed in the rooms above the restaurant; obviously convenient but there were a couple of things that would have made it just a little better; First the rooms were comfy and clean! But there was only one small (and I mean small) trash can in the bathroom, I know, I silly thing to mention but another waste basket in the rooms would have been helpful (we had snacks and drinks in the room before dinner and there was no where to throw anything); also there was no place to set your clothes or toiletries in the Sophie's room bath; realized after that I should have just moved a chair in there (again minor); but the biggest thing was the noise from the restaurant (Sophie's room); it did quiet down around 10:30 but wish maybe that was mentioned to us; we probably still would have stayed but just would have been nice to have known ahead of time; and there's no a/c; it cooled down at night of course and there were fans but again maybe mentioning that would have been helpful... the hosts were very gracious and set us up for coffee in the AM, much appreciated. Again, dinner was delicious and with good size portions. Check it out!

Experiencing the Chef's Table at Murphy's was the perfect way to celebrate a milestone birthday with dear friends. The team at Murphy's made the experience private, comfortable, perfectly paced, and completely enjoyable. Attention to detail, and a great menu prepared by Chef Jonathan was real treat.

This was our first trip to Pittsburg NH ever!! We stayed at The Glen at Bear Tree. We decided to try Murphy's Steakhouse, also owned by Bear Tree.
Georgie the owner made us feel very welcome. She spent quite a few minutes getting to know us. The meal was one of the best I've ever had. The creamy mushroom risotto with steak was amazing!!! We will definitely be back. Thank you to Georgie for making our dining experience exceptional.

While visiting friends in Morgan, VT, we made the drive to Murphy's for a nice Saturday evening dinner out. The staff is very friendly and they treat you like they already know you. The menu has a nice variety of entrees, primarily continental cuisine, along with a few nightly specials. The restaurant has a cozy, homey feel, and there are outside tables available if you wish to dine al fresco. We shared 2 delicious appetizers - smoked trout and bruschetta (the "original" recipe) - which we thoroughly enjoyed, and followed those with some excellent entrees. Murphy's was definitely worth the drive.
