Have stayed in better but also stayed in worse. The good; campground was quiet and relatively well kept! Road in was a little on the rough side but it was the first campground in a year and a half that we have been to where the owner led us to our site in his golf cart. The bad; the power there is unreliable thankfully it was not hot because we could not run our air conditioner with the power being supplied to our 30 amp site. My surge box read low voltage all weekend and at times only running the fridge off the electric cause the travel trailer to switch to gas automatically. First off thought maybe it was my camper which is only two years old till i discovered a couple of the other sites had the same issue as we did regarding power supply. None of the seasonal folks seem to have the power issue that we had which leads me to believe the power being fed to the transient camp sites may not be done correctly to supply adequate power.

Let me start this by saying the lovely couple that works there are very accommodating. The first thing we noticed was the overwhelming smell of sewerage. Our camp site was a good sized level lot, but it was smashed between seasonals that have been there for years. We pulled into our site and there were 10 unattended kids having a fistfight, after 10 minutes their moms finally came to have a mom fight. We thought we were in the clear when the campground went silent exactly at 10. Then the teenagers, who couldn't stand little kids, moved in next to us and partied very loud with huge trucks , atv's and F bombs to match. Unless you have a seasonal don't bother. The pool is tiny and dirty, the showers are scary and the whole place needs to be cleaned out. It also close to nothing but the pee smelling bathrooms. Checked out by 6 am, couldn't take it.

this place is really in the woods. The entry road is very rough. the internal roads are narrow, rough and barely navigable. the site was acceptable. there seems to be several people with ATV's so there must be some trails thru the woods. the ATV's were not loud or problematic.

Laid back atmosphere with friendly fellow campers; clean restrooms/showers; excellent and helpful staff! Campsites for tents had water and power nearby; hiking trails and site to put kayaks into the lake were close by.

This is a no frills, everyone is friendly and all are welcome campground run by the dedicated owner. A wonderful pooland playground, trails to Braun Bay, comfortable office lobby area and tv viewing, low priced store, wooded sites and 1.5 mile from easy access to Long Island Boat launch for Lake Winnepesaukee/Moultonborough. Lots of weekend gatherings, usually scheduled by seasonal campers with owner. If you want scheduled hourly activities every day/weekend, or a highly transient campground with many in and out campers, Bears Pinewoods would not be your best choice. However, if you want to feel part of a family, in a laid back, no frills environment, this is your place.
