I was a tad skeptical that Manchester could have good Nepalese food... but Kathmandu Spice definitely does! And their Indian food was excellent too. We had the Nepalese "Snack" sampler - a must try if you've never eaten Nepalese (eat it with your fingers for an authentic experience) and a wonderful Indian chicken dish (whose name escapes me!). The Lassi was thick and delicious, and not cloyingly sweet. Best chutneys and Pappadum that I've had... ever! I will come back for the lunch buffet!

This wonderful little place specializes in Indian and Nepalese food...Indian dishes flavored with butter, cream and spices...Nepalese with oil and spices. The lunch buffet was well balanced with fruit, vegetable dishes and proteins. Kir and mango pudding were today’s desserts. The staff tended the buffet regularly, refilling the serving bowls and keeping it all tidy. For that matter the whole restaurant, including the bathroom, was spotless. Diners have a choice of garlic or plain naan which was warm, crispy and soft and oh so flavorful. The tandoori chicken was amazingly moist and the saag paneer fresh and satisfying. A particular favorite was the kir which was not overly sweet and filled with nuts and sultanas with only a hint of rose water. We can’t wait to go back for dinner from the ambitious menu! Service was excellent, efficient and friendly.

We landed yesterday at the Manchester Airport and needed to find a place that was vegetarian/vegan friendly and looked on Trip Advisor and Yelp for nearby places. This one came up and we were glad it did. We did the lunch buffet and found the items very tasty. We like our Indian food mild and were not at all disappointed. I particularly like the cabbage aloo and the saag paneer; my wife like the saag paneer and we both liked the dal soup and the naan that they brought to the table. The service was very good and fast as well. Highly recommended.

This is my 2nd time trying this restaurant out through GrubHub. This time the order was seamless. I was able to pre-order my food and they delivered slightly ahead of schedule. It was hot and fresh the time it was delivered. They have a great collection of Nepali and Indian foods. The briyanis are great as well. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner - would highly recommend.

WOW- what a gem! We had dinner there last night after lamenting that our old 'go to' central Asian restaurants had become less than worth the money. We googled ethnic restaurants in Manchester after getting out of a late medical appointment . Found this on line with some good reviews and thought 'what the heck'. We LOVED this place. We had Nepalese dishes- Allo Bodi Tama Soup, Rayko Ko Saag, and the Nepalese vegetarian Thali. It was all more than we could have expected. Similar to Indian but with subtle differences in flavor, ingredients. We had ours spiced Mild since it was late in the evening and the spice was just right. Flavors insanely delicious. The meat eaters menu is extensive and still plenty for vegetarians.

Service was excellent and friendly. Staff are obviously well educated and gentile but not stuffy. Portions generous. Clean and simple decor but charming ambience. Easy to get to (in the plaza with DMV and the closed Shaws right behind A Market) and plenty of parking. The chef (Owner?) came out to greet us and ask about our experience- where do you get this service anymore?

Price was right- $45 for pappadum with chutneys, 2 soups, Thali, one other entrée with rice and we came home with lunch for today.

The take out menus are now in our cars so we can call ahead for take out when we are in the area. The phone number is programmed into our cell phones. This is our NEW GO TO PLACE! Can't wait to try the buffet.
